Duras noticias para el fútbol sala español. La jugadora zaragozana María Sanz, de 27 años y parte indispensable tanto de Futsi Atlético Navalcarnero como de la selección española absoluta, deberá permanecer un tiempo indeterminado alejada de los terrenos de juego a causa de una patología cardiaca.
Así lo anunció su propio club, a través de un parte médico. “A nuestra jugadora María Sanz le han diagnosticado una miocarditis aguda que conlleva el cese temporal de la actividad competitiva”, explican desde la entidad rojiblanca, hermanada con el Club Atlético de Madrid. “Su evolución marcará su recuperación, por lo que será baja durante las próximas semanas”, agregan.
Un gran bastión
María Sanz es una de las jugadoras más destacadas de la Primera Iberdrola, la máxima competición estatal. En la presente temporada, suma 24 goles en Liga, lo que le convierte en una de las mayores anotadoras de la categoría. Su baja, así las cosas, es un contratiempo muy importante para Futsi, aunque desde la entidad rojiblanca tienen claro que lo más importante en estos momentos es que su jugadora se recupere bien. Este sábado, la futbolista ya no pudo ser de la partida, en la goleada de Futsi por 8-0 ante Guadalcacín.
Aunque, además de en Futsi, la zaragozana también es un pilar en la selección española absoluta. Hace solo unas semanas, su rendimiento fue clave en la clasificación de España para jugar el primer Campeonato del Mundo de la historia, que será del 21 de noviembre al 7 de diciembre en Filipinas. En Francia, donde España disputó la Ronda Élite que le dio acceso al Mundial, María Sanz marcó tres goles (dos ante Francia y otro contra Finlandia) que fueron importantes para que las chicas de Claudia Pons lograsen su billete al Mundial.
Un palmarés envidiable
Aparte de ello, y pese a que solo tiene 27 años, la aragonesa cuenta con un buen número de títulos en su palmarés. A nivel internacional, ha ganado dos Eurocopas con España (2022 y 2023), un Campeonato de Europa Universitario con la Universidad Rey Juan Carlos de Madrid en 2022 y dos Copas de Europa con Futsi. Además, ha conseguido cuatro Supercopas de España, tres títulos de Liga en Primera División, dos Copas de España y varios Campeonatos de España Universitarios, entre otros trofeos.
