Following the public unraveling of her marriage to Ben Affleck, pop sensation Jennifer Lopez has reportedly caught the eye of a persistent admirer-none other than Grammy-winning rapper Drake.
According to RadarOnline, Drake has quietly been attempting to rekindle their past spark, but Lopez isn’t giving in easily.
Drake and Lopez were previously linked back in 2016 after they posted affectionate photos together online, sparking brief romance rumors.
Now, nearly a decade later, the rapper is said to be reigniting those efforts as Lopez navigates her personal life following Affleck’s rumored departure.
“Drake‘s been trying to get her into bed since the moment he heard Ben walked out on her – he’s just been playing the long game,” a source told RadarOnline.com.
Drake turns on the charm
Determined not to scare her off, Drake has reportedly taken a slower, more calculated approach. He’s been keeping things flirtatious yet respectful, often checking in on Lopez and maintaining consistent contact without overwhelming her.
“He didn’t want to come on too strong and spook her, so he really leaned into the caring-friend role,” the source added. “They’ve been texting back and forth for nearly a year. It wasn’t G-rated, but he didn’t pressure her.”
To show his dedication, Drake has reportedly been sending the singer-actress a steady stream of thoughtful gifts and flowers. But even with all the romantic gestures, things haven’t escalated physically.
“He’s really laid it on thick, but so far, he’s gotten no further than sexting,” the source explained. “He’s getting frustrated and feels like he might be in the friend zone now.”
Despite his usual quick success in romantic pursuits, Drake seems especially invested in Lopez, who has long been one of his celebrity crushes.
“Usually, Drake would have blown this off by now and stopped wasting his time, but she’s one of his all-time crushes, so he doesn’t want to give up.”
J.Lo isn’t falling for the charm
Lopez, now 55, appears to be in full control of the situation. While she’s enjoying the attention, she’s not in a rush to jump into anything serious-or physical.
“She knows Drake‘s reputation with the ladies and she’s making sure she’s not just another notch on his belt,” the source said. “It’s harmless fun to her and she intends to string him along for as long as it pleases her.”
As Drake continues to flirt from a distance, it’s clear Lopez is calling the shots. Whether the rapper’s persistence will eventually pay off remains to be seen-but for now, it’s J.Lo who’s keeping him on his toes.
