A aposentadoria de Marta da Seleção Brasileira após a Copa do Mundo de 2023 marcou o encerramento de uma trajetória histórica. Foram mais de duas décadas defendendo a camisa verde e amarela, período em que se tornou a maior artilheira das Copas do Mundo e referência global no futebol feminino.
Com a saída da camisa 10, a equipe inicia uma nova fase. A principal missão agora é encontrar jogadoras capazes de dar sequência ao legado deixado por Marta — e por outras figuras históricas, como Formiga e Cristiane. A nova geração já começa a apresentar nomes que podem ocupar esse espaço e manter o protagonismo da Seleção.

Candidatas em destaque
Algumas jogadoras que já vestem a camisa da Seleção despontam como possíveis herdeiras do legado deixado por Marta. Jovens atletas, com passagens por clubes nacionais e internacionais e atuações de destaque em competições recentes, começam a ganhar protagonismo na equipe brasileira.
Duda Sampaio, é uma das principais representantes dessa nova geração. Prestes a completar 24 anos, a jogadora já passou por times como América Mineiro, Cruzeiro e Internacional. Em 2023 foi convidada por Artur Elias para compor o elenco do Corinthians e convocada a seleção. A atleta foi peça fundamental para a conquista da medalha nas Olimpíadas de Paris.
Quem também busca espaço nessa reformulação é Angelina, atual jogadora do Orlando Pride, dos Estados Unidos. Ela foi titular da seleção na conquista da Copa América de 2022, na final, sofreu uma grave lesão que a deixou afastada dos gramados por um tempo. Apesar disso, a jogadora esteve presente nas Olimpíadas de Paris 2024.

No ataque, Jheniffer começa a se firmar como opção importante. Jogadora do Tigres, do México, ela marcou o único gol da Seleção na derrota para o Japão durante a fase de grupos em Paris 2024. Revelada pelo Internacional e com passagem pelo Corinthians, a atacante de 23 anos já mostrou que pode ser decisiva em momentos-chave.
Outra jovem promessa do setor ofensivo é Priscila, atualmente no América do México. Ela se destacou durante o jogo contra a Espanha nas Olimpíadas de Paris. Sua atitude em campo repercutiu nas redes sociais, especialmente após encarar a goleira Cata Coll em um lance. Apesar de estar lesionada e fora dos últimos amistosos, é considerada uma das grandes apostas para o ciclo até Los Angeles 2028.
Na defesa, Tarciane é um dos pilares da nova formação. Antes mesmo de completar 22 anos, já era titular na campanha olímpica de Paris, além de ter feito parte do elenco que conquistou o terceiro lugar na Copa do Mundo Sub-20 em 2022.
Lauren, sua companheira de zaga na base, também ganhou espaço entre as titulares. Atuou nas duas partidas mais importantes dos Jogos Olímpicos: a semifinal contra a Espanha e a final diante dos Estados Unidos.
