Kurios: Nissan-Pilot Norman Nato überquert zuerst die Ziellinie. Doch er erhält eine Zeitstrafe, weil er seinen Attack-Mode nicht rechtzeitig aufbrauchen konnte. Schuld ist eine späte Rot-Phase nach einer Dreier-Kollission. Wie Nato ergeht es auch zahlreichen weiteren Fahrern – das Rennergebnis ist für die Zuschauer also nicht sofort ersichtlich.

Wehrlein nach dem Sieg: „Es war so ein chaotisches Rennen. Ich dachte kurz, das Rennen sei vorbei, als ich mit David Beckmann zusammengestoßen bin. Aber es ging weiter. Wir hatten so viel Pech in der Saison – jetzt dürfen wir auch mal bisschen Glück haben.“
Lucas di Grassi holt mit Lola Yamaha Abt seinen ersten Podest-Platz: „Ich bin sehr zufrieden und freue mich für das ganze Team, wir haben so hart gearbeitet. Das gibt uns einen tollen Boost für den Rest der Saison.“
