Bürgermeister hilft beim Handball-Pokal aus
Danner trägt in Melsungen den Spitznamen „Der Bürgermeister“. Erstens, weil er nach 12 Jahren bei Nordhessen fast schon zum Inventar zählte. Zweitens, weil er in Melsungen und drumherum einen hohen Beliebtheitsgrad erreichte.
Weil die MT Melsungen zuletzt enormes Verletzungspech hatte, rief Sportvorstand Michael Allendorf seinen alten Kumpel an dessen Wohnort Balingen an. Danner: „Wäre ein anderer Verein auf mich zugekommen, hätte ich Nein gesagt.“ Danner unterschrieb einen Vertrag über vier Wochen.

Samstag wird die Sache total kurios. Danner hatte für die Familie und sich schon Karten gekauft, schließlich spielt im zweiten Halbfinale (19 Uhr, live bei Dyn/Anzeige) sein Ex-Klub gegen seinen Ex-Klub. Jetzt sitzen Anja, Nele und Leon alleine auf der Tribüne. Papa Felix muss ja auf die Platte in der Kölner Lanxess-Arena. Es ist sein erneutes Abschieds-Wochenende vom Profi-Handball. Er möchte es mit seinem ersten Titel krönen.
