Los Angeles Sparks forward Cameron Brink may be sidelined for now, but she’s not stepping back from showing love to her WNBA sisters. In a new episode of her podcast “Straight to Cam,” Brink didn’t hesitate when asked who turned heads the most at the 2025 WNBA Draft.
Though the spotlight mostly circled around Paige Bueckers, who was taken first overall, Brink made it known that the night’s real fashion MVP, in her eyes, was Washington Mystics rookie Kiki Iriafen.
“I think she was… I’m biased because we played together, but I think Kiki was best dressed,” Brink said, referring to their time as Stanford teammates.
Her co-host Sydel Curry-Lee, sister of NBA star Steph Curry, was quick to agree.
“Oh, me too,” Curry-Lee responded.
Iriafen’s look made a statement
The compliments weren’t just about glamour. Brink was clear-Iriafen’s outfit was more than just fashion. It was a meaningful tribute to her Nigerian roots.
“She killed it,” Brink added. “She looked Hollywood-glam and I loved that she went back to her heritage with her dress and her jewelry-she was glowing.”
Iriafen, who went No. 4 overall to the Mystics, wore a stunning gold gown by Nigerian designer Nneka Alexander. Paired with traditional Nigerian coral jewelry, her look fused elegance and cultural pride in a way that clearly resonated with Brink and others.
Also joining the podcast episode was Mia Mastrov, a hooper and influencer, as the trio covered everything from Coachella vibes to draft-night reactions.
Even while rehabbing from an ACL tear suffered earlier this year, Brink continues to shine off the court. The 2024 second overall pick is expected to rejoin the Sparks by June, but in the meantime, she’s using her “Straight to Cam” podcast to amplify stories and celebrate the WNBA community.
Brink has previously used the platform to praise Hailey Van Lith, discuss mental health, and open up about her recovery.
