Felipe Melo considera fundamental a seleção brasileira ter um novo treinador na próxima Data Fifa. Até o momento, Carlo Ancelotti parece ainda ser o favorito do presidente Ednaldo Rodrigues, e Jorge Jesus o ‘plano B’.
“Tem que ter um treinador para a próxima Data FIFA. Se não, a crítica virá pesada, eu mesmo vou criticar. Nós não podemos errar na escolha, a Copa do Mundo está batendo à porta. Então, precisamos ser assertivos”, disse o ex-volante.
Com o tempo cada vez mais curto pensando em 2026, Felipe Melo alerta para que a escolha do novo treinador seja a mais acertada possível. Desde a saída de Tite, todas as decisões da CBF se provaram equivocadas.
“Agora, já se passaram 26 dias, muito tempo, mas quero entender que, de fato, estão pensando da mesma forma que eu.” Não podemos errar, por isso, sabedoria, discernimento e tranquilidade na decisão. Eu tenho certeza de que não tem ninguém ainda contratado, principalmente estes europeus”, analisa.
“O Mourinho passando sufoco na Turquia, o Ancelotti saiu da Champions, agora tem uma decisão com seu maior rival, tem a Copa do Rei.” Não existe essa possibilidade”, completou Felipe Melo.

Assim como outros ex-atletas, Felipe Melo também defende que o técnico da seleção possa ser um brasileiro e mencionou três que seriam capazes para tal desafio.
“Não sou contra a vinda de treinador estrangeiro, mas acho que nós temos treinadores brasileiros. Temos Rogério Ceni, Jardine, Renato Gaúcho. Nós temos”, analisou Felipe Melo.
Segundo o colunista Lauro Jardim, de “O Globo”, a CBF dá como certa a contratação de Carlo Ancelotti para ser o novo técnico da seleção brasileira. De acordo com a publicação, houve avanços significativos com o comandante do Real Madrid, mas não haverá nenhum anúncio neste mês.
