LeBron James, Luka Doncic, Austin Reaves and the rest of the Los Angeles Lakers are having a battle against the Minnesota Timberwolves during the first round of the playoffs.
Superstar guard Anthony Edwards and Minnesota took game 1 117-95 at Crypto.com Arena, but the Lakers were able to bounce back for game 2 with a final score of 94-85.
He got busted! LeBron James caught peeking after drawing foul in game 2 vs. the Timberwolves
Doncic had 31 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists. Reaves added 16 points, with James recording 11 rebounds and seven assists for Los Angeles, who never lost control of a hard fought game with 46 personal fouls and multiple video reviews.
LeBron James caught cheating
One particular play during game 2 of the Lakers vs. Timberwolves playoff series caught the attention of social media users, and it involved none other than LeBron James and Minnesota’s forward Julius Randle, who had 27 points as the leader scorer of the Twolves.
Randle scored a basket in the fourth quarter, not before he made a slight contact with James. Julius was called for the offensive foul, and the call was upheld even after a review from the officials. LeBron layed on the ground momentarily, covering his eyes, and at one point, he took a peek before covering his eyes once again.
James’ flopping got some social media users mad. “He is everything that is wrong with the NBA,” an X user wrote. “LeBron fans wonder why he’s so hated. This is why. Bad example for the kids,” stated another person. “Refs need to watch this, he basically think they are stupid, and can just play them, very disrespectful,” somebody else wrote.
The Lakers could get the momentum they need
The Los Angeles Lakers came out on game 2 of their series against the Minnesota Timberwolves with a much improved defense, all-around play from their best player, LeBron James, and all the offensive power that Luka Doncic can give them.
As a matter of fact, the Slovenian superstar was one of the reasons Minnesota was eliminated from the playoffs last year. While still playing with the Dallas Mavericks, Doncic averaged 32.4 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 8.2 assists as he shot 47% from the field and 85% from the line, which earned him the Western Conference Finals MVP.
Even though the superstar got traded to Los Angeles, the Twolves still have not been able to find an answer to stop Luka, who has been the better player in a floor stacked with massive talent such as Anthony Edwards and LeBron James. If Minnesota wants to advance to the next round, they need to find a solution to their Doncic problem.
