Neudělená druhá žlutá karta pro olomouckého Abdoulaye Syllu
Už v osmé minutě utkání viděl žlutou kartu olomoucký Abdoulaye Sylla, jenž ve slibné šanci podrazil Matěje Šína. V desáté minutě pak zajel do jednoho z ostravských hráčů na půlce a ve hře bylo vyloučení. Rozhodčí Dalibor Černý však ke druhé žluté kartě nesáhl, a trenér Olomouce Janotka raději preventivně Syllu stáhl ze hřiště už ve 35. minutě.
Vyjádření komise: „V 10. minutě utkání rozhodčí správně nařídil přímý volný kop pro domácí družstvo a správně neudělil žlutou kartu hráči hostujícího družstva č. 2. Hráč hostujícího družstva nejprve čistě odehraje levou a následně i pravou nohou míč, poté dojde k podražení hráče domácího družstva č. 33. I když hráč hostujícího družstva zahrál míč, jednalo se o přestupek, ale bez nutnosti udělení žluté karty.“
Vyloučení Michala Frydrycha po faulu na Jana Klimenta
Jednoznačně šlo o nešťastný moment – nejen pro oba aktéry souboje, ale i pro český fotbal. Kliment upaloval v 15. minutě s míčem směrem k ostravské bráně, když došlo k souboji s Frydrychem. Ostravský obránce v souboji nestíhal, spadl a při skluzu zezadu přisedl Klimenta, který si zlomil nohu a musel střídat.
Vyjádření komise:
„Ve 12. minutě utkání rozhodčí na základě intervence VAR správně vyloučil hráče domácího družstva č. 17 za surovou hru. Hráč domácího družstva skluzem zezadu podrazil a současně přisedl nohu hráče hostujícího družstva č. 9. Domácí hráč nehrál míč, skluzem bylo jednoznačně ohroženo zdraví soupeře. Červená karta byla udělena správně, VAR správně intervenoval.“

Komise dále uvedla: „Dle našeho názoru rozhodčí s pomocí VAR zásadní situace v utkání vyřešili správně. Přesto se dopustili několika chyb a společně se vzájemným nedostatkem respektu mezi realizačními týmy a hráči obou družstev přispěli k velmi nervóznímu průběhu utkání.“
Sparta Praha – Viktoria Plzeň 1:0, nevyloučení Václava Jemelky po soubojích s Veljkem Birmančevičem
Přestože šlo o vítězný zápas pro Spartu, rozčilení v jejím táboře bylo značné. Trenér Lars Friis nešetřil kritikou na rozhodčího Ondřeje Berku, který podle něj měl už v první půli udělit červenou kartu Václavu Jemelkovi. Plzeňský obránce od 17. minuty po souboji s Veljkem Birmančevičem dohrával pod hrozbou druhé žluté.
Vyjádření komise: „V 17. minutě utkání rozhodčí správně udělil žlutou kartu hráči hostujícího družstva č. 21 za zmaření slibně se rozvíjející útočné akce držením soupeře rukou.“
Ve 23. minutě už domácí hlasitě volali po druhé. Opět souboj této dvojice – a opět Jemelka srbského křídelníka nestíhal. Obránce Viktorie stáhl padajícího Birmančeviče na zem. Totéž se opakovalo i ve 31. minutě. V žádném z těchto případů však Jemelka druhou žlutou kartu neviděl. V poločase byl raději stažen a zápas pro něj skončil.
Vyjádření komise: „Ve 23. minutě utkání rozhodčí chybně neudělil druhou žlutou a následně červenou kartu hráči hostujícího družstva č. 21 za zmaření slibně se rozvíjející útočné akce držením soupeře rukou. VAR dle protokolu správně neintervenoval. Neudělení druhé žluté a následně červené karty považuje KR FAČR za hrubou a neakceptovatelnou chybu rozhodčího.“
„Ve 31. minutě utkání však rozhodčí správně neudělil druhou žlutou a červenou kartu hráči hostujícího družstva č. 21 za držení soupeře. Nejednalo se o zmaření slibně se rozvíjející akce ani o taxativní přestupek – nedostatek respektu ke hře –, za který by rozhodčí musel udělit žlutou kartu.“
