Saul Canelo Alvarez makes headlines for his great rivalries. Today, he does it for one of his friendships. The Mexican boxer and Golden State Warriors star, Stephen Curry , have forged a great friendship.
They have been seen together on several occasions playing golf. In 2020 was the first time they sparred together. The following year, they met again and Steph showed greater skill than on the previous occasion.
Since then, the relationship between the two went from strength to strength. In fact, Curry was spotted at Canelo’s fight against Gennady Golovkin in September 2022 and was able to defend his four world championships.

Speaking to Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson, Canelo stated that he has a strong bond with the four-time NBA champion:
I really play with Steph Curry, Mardy Fish and everybody else. They are my friends. They are also good golfers. We’re very good friends. In fact, we do business together.
This last sentence reveals the great bond that unites them. Unanimous Media, Stephen Curry and Erick Payton’s production company, is in charge of making a documentary about Canelo Alvarez. In it, the boxer analyzes his entire boxing career and his great rivalry that defined his career with Triple G fighter.
“We are honored to have the opportunity to tell the story of Canelo Alvarez, someone we deeply admire and respect,” commented Curry and Payton.

Canelo is already in Riyadh, where he will attempt to defeat his Cuban opponent and unify all the super middleweight world championships for the second time next year, on Saturday, May 3.
In addition, Alvarez will be wearing his WBC, WBA and WBO belts, while Scull will be wearing his IBF belt.
