Intercolegial 2025: escolas já estão no aquecimento para a disputa

As quatro escolas líderes da edição 2024 do Intercolegial já estão no aquecimento para o início das competições deste ano, previstas para o final de maio, com o Congresso de Abertura e a disputa do futsal. Com o início das inscrições previsto para o primeiro minuto da próxima segunda-feira, dia 28, pelo link http://inscricoes.intercolegial.com.br/login, a expectativa é cada vez maior para a 43ª edição da competição, realizada pelo jornal O GLOBO e com apresentação do Sesc-RJ, que incentiva a prática esportiva entre jovens, promove integração entre colégios e revela novos talentos.

Grande campeão do Intercolegial, o Santa Mônica Rede de Ensino espera colher os frutos de mais um ano de trabalho e preparo intenso dos alunos atletas. Com o aumento de modalidades de sete para 12, o coordenador de Educação Física da escola, Luiz Cezar Soares, espera uma competição equilibrada e estudada, principalmente nas novas categorias: atletismo, natação, judô, badminton e tênis de mesa.

— Este ano, com a volta de alguns esportes, fica ainda mais difícil, mas o segredo é trabalhar o ano inteiro. Todas as outras escolas começam os preparativos em janeiro e fevereiro, e nós nos preparamos o ano inteiro — destaca.

Soares diz que o aumento no número de modalidades será um incentivo para a ampliação do número de alunos bolsistas no colégio.

— O objetivo é resgatar essas crianças que podem voltar a estudar conosco por meio das bolsas estudantis. Chegamos a ter 280 bolsas antes da pandemia. Hoje, estamos com cerca de 170. A expectativa é retomar os números de antes — aponta.

Maior rival do Santa Mônica nos últimos anos, o Loide Martha, grande força da Baixada Fluminense e segundo lugar em 2024, promete mais uma vez não dar vida fácil ao adversário.

— Eu espero que a disputa seja acirrada. Vencer ainda é um pouco difícil. Somos uma escola de apenas uma unidade, e eles (Santa Mônica) têm mais de dez, a captação é muito mais farta. Mas estamos brigando ano a ano. Eles abriram vantagem, mas vamos ver se conseguimos incomodar um pouco mais este ano — diz o coordenador de Educação Física do Loide Martha, Rodrigo Rizzon.

Já o GEO Doutor Sócrates tem grande expectativas. A escola de Guaratiba ficou em terceiro lugar no ano passado e foi a melhor da rede pública na competição nos últimos três anos.

Para este ano, o coordenador esportivo do GEO, Rodrigo Vallois, destaca o vôlei e o futsal feminino, mas explica que o trunfo da escola é o equilíbrio entre as modalidades, o que possibilita as boas pontuações gerais nos Intercolegiais.

— Esse é o segredo do nosso sucesso, diferentemente de outras escolas que vão bem em uma categoria e não em outras — afirma Vallois.

O coordenador aponta nomes de atletas que têm chance de levar vitórias para a escola. Entre eles está Ana Carolina Ribeiro, que compete pelo futsal e pelo basquete. Além dela, Vallois também cita Milena Marques e Rafaela Franco, do vôlei de quadra e de praia. Para alguns estudantes, o GEO atua como uma vitrine para que conquistem bolsas de estudos em outras escolas.

— Ficamos muito felizes de proporcionar isso. Ficamos muito orgulhosos quando um aluno consegue uma bolsa por meio do esporte. Muitos saem do GEO com bolsa. Ver um ex-aluno nosso tendo sucesso no Intercolegial e na vida nos enche de orgulho — destaca Vallois.

Outro colégio que pode surpreender na disputa é o Pedro II. O quarto colocado em 2024 vem aumentando sua participação no Intercolegial ano após ano. A coordenadora de Esportes Nathalia Gaspar Perestrello diz que a escola tem atletas com grande potencial, como Brenda Moura, no skate, Lucas do Carmo, no tênis de mesa, e a campeã estadual de xadrez, Rafaela Bacelar. Nathalia promete que a escola vai buscar se superar nesta temporada.

— Nosso objetivo é estar nas primeiras posições novamente, ainda mais nas novas modalidades. Precisamos enfatizar que o Pedro II é um colégio público. Hoje conseguimos participar de quase todas as modalidades graças aos professores, que são poucos, mas muito empenhados — ressalta.

Novas regras

Apesar da entrada de novos esportes, o número de equipes foi mantido: são 32 equipes nos esportes coletivos e 16 duplas no vôlei de praia, sendo que o campeão e o vice do ano passado têm vagas garantidas.

No conjunto de esportes coletivos, os colégios só poderão inscrever até quatro equipes. Nas regras do skate, houve uma mudança em relação aos anos anteriores: em 2025 haverá as categorias sub-10, sub-14 e sub-18 livres.

Foram estabelecidos ainda diferentes limites de idade nos novos esportes: 17 anos, para atletismo e natação, e 18, para badminton, tênis de mesa e judô.

Também houve mudança nas datas já anunciadas para as disputas de algumas categorias, para não haver conflito com os calendários das federações.
