Handball: Magdeburg-Legende macht immer noch weiter
Der Linkshänder hat seinen Vertrag beim SV Fides St. Gallen (2. Liga in der Schweiz) um ein weiteres Jahr bis 2026 verlängert. „Ich freue mich drauf“, teilte er über seinen Instagram-Account mit.

Der Handball-Methusalem ist noch bis Saisonende an den TSV St. Otmar ausgeliehen und wird dann an seine alte Wirkungsstätte zurückkehren. Dort forciert er obendrein weiterhin seine Ausbildung zum Polizisten.
Seit 2008 spielte der Rechtsaußen in der Bundesliga, zunächst für Balingen-Weilstetten, ab 2009 für zehn Jahre beim SC Magdeburg, wo er Kult wurde, und 2015 mit 271 Treffern sogar zum Torschützenkönig avancierte.
[–>Letzten Sommer machte der Österreicher Schluss in der Nationalmannschaft. Ein Karriereende im Klub ist dagegen noch nicht in Sicht. „Ich habe da einen guten Freund als gutes Vorbild mit Hans Lindberg“, sagte Weber einst gegenüber handball-world.
Lindberg ist mit 43 noch in seiner dänischen Heimat aktiv.
