Kurz nach dem Skandal im spanischen Pokalfinale gibt es wieder schlechte Nachrichten von Antonio Rüdiger (32). Der DFB-Star musste operiert werden und fällt wochenlang aus.
Der Abwehrchef von Real Madrid habe sich einen Teilriss des Außenmeniskus im linken Knie zugezogen und sei bereits operiert worden, teilte sein Klub mit. Spanische Medien rechnen mit einer Zwangspause von mindestens sechs bis acht Wochen.

Rüdiger rastet gegen Barça aus
Rüdiger hatte kurz vor dem Ende der Verlängerung des Endspiels gegen den FC Barcelona (2:3) den Schiedsrichter wüst beschimpft und mit einem Gegenstand beworfen. Der einige Minuten zuvor bereits ausgewechselte Abwehrspieler sah dafür die Rote Karte. Ihm droht eine lange Sperre in Spanien.
Nach dem Ausraster bekam Rüdiger viel Kritik, aber auch Unterstützung zum Beispiel von seinem ehemaligen Real-Teamkollegen Toni Kroos (35). „Der kriegt seine Strafe, die wird gerechtfertigt sein. Aber wir müssen trotzdem nicht so tun, als wenn er irgendjemanden umgebracht hat“, sagte Kroos am Rande einer Veranstaltung der Icon League in Düsseldorf: „Da muss man immer ein bisschen aufpassen, dass man nicht immer direkt mit dem Strom schwimmt.“
Kroos habe nach dem Spiel auch Kontakt mit Rüdiger gehabt. „Dass das ein großer Fehler war, ich glaube, die Bilder sprechen für sich selbst. Das weiß er auch, dessen ist er sich bewusst“, sagte der langjährige Profi der Königlichen, der bis zum vergangenen Jahr für Madrid gespielt hatte.
