Das Zittern um die Lizenz hat ein Ende!
Die Handballer der HSV Hamburg haben Planungssicherheit – und die Lizenz für die kommende Saison 2025/2026.
Der Verein hatte bei der Vergabe der Lizenz die Spielberechtigung nur unter Vorbehalt erhalten. Der HSV musste bis zum 5. Mai (12 Uhr) eine Bedingung erfüllen, nämlich den Nachweis gegenüber der Lizenzierungskommission erbringen, dass eine aktuell noch bestehende Liquiditätslücke geschlossen ist.

Nach SPORT BILD-Informationen soll es sich um eine Liquiditätslücke von rund zwei Millionen Euro handeln.
„Die Zuversicht ist groß, auch wenn es noch keinen Vollzug zu vermelden gibt“, erklärte HSV-Präsident Kay Spanger (67) am Dienstag auf SPORT BILD-Anfrage. „Wir befinden uns in den letzten Zügen der Umsetzung und sind alle sehr positiv gestimmt, dass es klappt.“
Am Nachmittag traf sich Geschäftsführer Christian Hüneburg (49) mit Aufsichtsrat und Investor Philipp J. Müller (48) um die letzten Überweisungs-Details zu klären.
Müller gab sich zuvor im Gespräch mit SPORT BILD zuversichtlich: „Ja klar, das war ich die ganze Zeit. Ich bin nach wie vor positiv.“ Der Unternehmer wollte den Ball aber flach halten und verwies auf das laufende Verfahren: „Wir können uns ja nicht überheblich in die Presse stellen, wenn man eine Bedingung kriegt. Das ist der Sache nicht dienlich und auch nicht seriös. Und auch der Bundesliga und der Kommission gegenüber nicht seriös. Gehen Sie davon aus, dass sie kurzfristig von uns hören.“
HSV Hamburg erhält die Lizenz!
Sehr kurzfristig! Am Mittwoch ging der geforderte Betrag auf dem Konto ein. Die Daikin Handball-Bundesliga (HBL) gab daraufhin grünes Licht und erklärt in einer Pressemitteilung: „Der Handball Sport Verein Hamburg erfüllt Bedingung vollständig und fristgemäß.“
Und weiter: „Die unabhängige Lizenzierungskommission der Handball-Bundesliga gibt bekannt, dass der Handball Sport Verein Hamburg die gestellte Bedingung zur Teilnahme am Spielbetrieb der Handball-Bundesliga in der Saison 2025/26 erfüllt hat.

Die Lizenzierungskommission hatte dem Handball Sport Verein Hamburg am 17. April 2025 die Lizenz zur Teilnahme am Spielbetrieb der obersten Spielklasse in der Saison 2025/26 unter der Bedingung erteilt, dass bis zum 5. Mai 2025 eine ermittelte Liquiditätslücke geschlossen ist.
Dies wurde fristgemäß und vollständig gegenüber der Lizenzierungskommission nachgewiesen, so dass der Handball Sport Verein Hamburg am Spielbetrieb der Saison 2025/2026 unter Berücksichtigung der durch den Lizenzbeschluss vom 17.04.2025 weiterhin erteilten Auflagen teilnimmt. “
