Mourinho stichelt schon gegen den Endspiel-Gegner: „Die Bayern hatten sicher einen leichteren Weg ins Finale als wir.“

Kurios: Louis van Gaal (58) freut sich auf Mourinho. Der Holländer: „Ich begegne einem Freund. Das wird ein Spaß.“
Den hatten die beiden eigenwilligen Trainer (schreiben sich regelmäßig SMS) auch schon in der Zeit von 1997 bis 2000 in Barcelona. Damals wurde Mourinho zu van Gaals Co-Trainer. Zuvor war er hauptsächlich als Dolmetscher der Katalanen bekannt.
Mourinho nach dem Endspiel-Einzug: „Die Bayern haben die Saison nicht gut begonnen, aber sie haben Ruhe bewahrt. Jetzt können sie drei Titel gewinnen. Dank Louis van Gaal.“
Van Gaal hatte Mourinho gefördert und geformt. Wohl auch eine Erklärung, warum Mourinho einmal in Portugal betonte, er komme „direkt hinter Gott“.

Bastian Schweinsteiger zum Vergleich zwischen van Gaal und Mourinho: “Ich weiß nicht, wer von beiden für die größere Unterhaltung sorgt. Unser Trainer ist auf diesem Gebiet auch recht gut.”

Jenže v posledních dvou letech sešel z očí veřejnosti.Předloňskou sezonu se vrátil do Bostonu, ale odehrál jen čtyři zápasy. V polovině listopadu jej totiž zadržela policie s podezřením, že se dopustil násilí na své partnerce. Podle policejní zprávy byl obviněn z pokusu o uškrcení své manželky.Hokej pro něj v tu chvíli skončil. V únoru loňského roku bylo sice obvinění staženo, ale Lucic nastoupil do asistenčního programu NHL a v lize se od té doby neobjevil. Teď však dostává novou šanci, kterou mu dají v St. Louis. „Podepsali jsme s Milanem profesionální zkušební kontrakt,“ uvedl generální manažer Doug Armstrong na oficiálním webu klubu.Lucic v NHL strávil celkem sedmnáct sezon, většinu z nich v Bostonu.
