Die TSV Hannover-Burgdorf hat eine gefürchtete Auswärts-Prüfung in der Daikin Handball-Bundesliga schadlos überstanden.
Das Team von Trainer Christian Prokop (46) gewann 31:26 (19:11) beim ThSV Eisenach und hat damit Platz 3 vorerst gefestigt. In der zweiten Halbzeit sorgte ein Mann dafür, dass die Niedersachsen in wackeligen Momente standhaft blieben.

Handball-Bundesliga: Joel Birlehm toppt Silvio Heinevetter
In der ersten Hälfte hatte Eisenach keinen Plan gegen das Tempo-Spiel von Hannover-Burgdorf. Nach der Pause liefen beide Torhüter zu großer Form auf. Oldie Silvio Heinevetter (40) sorgte mit neun Paraden (42,9 % Quote) dafür, dass Eisenach ins Spiel zurückfand. Sein Gegenüber Joel Birlehm (28) machte es im Tor der Niedersachsen aber noch viel besser.
Der Nationalkeeper lieferte ebenfalls neun Paraden ab, darunter waren drei entschärfte Siebenmeter. Birlehm kam auf 52,9 Prozent Quote, das ist ein Weltklasse-Wert.
„Silvio Heinevetter hat immer wieder freie Wurfmöglichkeiten weggenommen“, analysierte Prokop nach dem wichtigen Auswärts-Sieg. „Aber Gott sei Dank war Joel Birlehm auch zur Stelle, hatte eine Wahnsinnsquote und rettete uns bei Siebenmetern und Durchbrüchen, sodass der Vorsprung nie weniger als zwei oder drei Tore betrug.“
[–>Bärenstark: In dieser Saison hat Birlehm bereits 22 Siebenmeter gehalten, er führt damit die entsprechende Liga-Statistik vor Kiels Andy Wolff (20 gehaltene Strafwürfe) an. Kurios: Im Hinspiel gegen Eisenach hielt Birlehm sechs Siebenmeter, vergangenen Freitag waren es in der Werner-Assmann-„Hölle“ deren drei.
Die offensive Krönung des Sieges in Thüringen war Hannover-Burgdorfs letzter Treffer zum 31:26-Endstand durch Spielmacher Marian Michalczik. Der Rechtshänder traf von halblinks am Kreis mit der linken Hand per Aufsetzer ins lange Eck.
Michalczik danach am Dyn-Mikro: „Ich bin stolz auf die Mannschaft, wie souverän wir das über die 60 Minuten gemacht haben.“
