Bereits im Winter wurde Marcus Rashford (27) immer wieder mit dem FC Barcelona in Verbindung gebracht. Ein Transfer kam allerdings wohl auch aufgrund von finanziellen Engpässen nicht zustande. Stattdessen ließ sich der Engländer von Manchester United an Aston Villa verleihen. Doch Rashfords Tage in Birmingham könnten nun schon wieder gezählt sein.
Wie „Sky Sport Schweiz“ und die spanische Zeitung „Sport“ übereinstimmend berichten, will Rashford nach wie vor unbedingt zu Barça!

Um sein Wunschziel Barça zu erreichen, soll Rashford jetzt sogar mit Star-Agent Pini Zahavi (82) zusammenarbeiten. Der Berater hat beste Verbindungen zu den Katalanen, vertritt unter anderem Barça-Superstar Robert Lewandowski (36).
Demnach sollen Gespräche zwischen Rashford und Barça bereits begonnen haben, um persönliche Bedingungen und Eckdaten auszuloten. Der Engländer soll sogar bereit sein, sein Gehalt zu reduzieren, damit ein Transfer für die dauerklammen Katalanen überhaupt möglich ist. Trotzdem müsste Barça wohl mit einer Ablösesumme von rund 35 Millionen Euro für Rashford rechnen.

Rashford befand sich vor seiner Leihe bei United auf dem Abstellgleis. Trainer Ruben Amorim hatte ihn sogar aus dem Kader gestrichen. Als Rashford dann Anfang des Jahres verliehen wurde, begründete Amorim diesen Schritt mit „unterschiedlichen Ansichten“ über das Training und das Spiel an sich.
In Villa blüht der Flügelspieler nun wieder richtig auf, hat mit vier Toren und fünf Assists in 17 Spielen augenscheinlich zu alter Form gefunden.
Aktuell bremst ihn eine Oberschenkelverletzung aus. Seine freie Zeit könnte er allerdings in seine Transfer-Bemühungen zu Barcelona investieren …
