Se tornado peça fundamental do Verdão nesta atual fase, o jogador já começa até a vislumbrar ambições maiores. E estas podem ser a permanência no clube até além do contrato de empréstimo, este com opção do compra por parte dos palmeirenses, que estaria em torno de R$ 25 milhões segundo a imprensa mineira.

Em entrevista ao GE, Fuchs não esconde que quer ficar no Palmeiras e espera ser adquirido. No entanto, quer deixar tal decisão para mais tarde, caso a diretoria palmeirense queira discutir a permanência do zagueiro no Palestra Itália
“Por mim, com certeza (quer ficar). É um desejo que eu tenho. Estou muito focado aqui, mas é seguir crescendo e, lá na frente, é uma decisão que deixo nas mãos de Deus, da comissão técnica e do (diretor de futebol) Anderson Barros”, declarou o atleta alviverde.

Adquirido para suprir eventuais ausências de Gustavo Gómez e Murilo, Bruno Fuchs não apenas tem jogado de zagueiro, mas por vezes atuou posicionado na lateral-direita, até Giay se firmar. Para o jogador, independente do posicionamento em campo, o importante é mostrar serviço e ajudar o Palmeiras a manter-se na briga nas competições como o Brasileirão e a Libertadores
“É tranquilo, estou me sentindo à vontade. Não tenho preferência de lado da zaga para jogar. Disse isso para o Abel e foi tranquilo. O Abel precisou de mim pela esquerda e joguei lá. Já joguei na direita, de lateral-direita e até na frente se preciso”, disse Fuchs aos risos.
