Ayesha Curry shares her best day with son Caius amid Stephen Curry injury drama

Ayesha Curry found a moment to celebrate during Steph Curry‘s Golden State Warriors woes as the mother-of-four proudly acknowledged her youngest’s first birthday on Sunday.

Steph is currently missing out on the NBA Playoffs against the Minnesota Timberwolves due to injury but May 11 was about his family as his son turned one and his wife celebrated Mother’s Day.

Ayesha, of course, put her child first with a loving post on social media paying tribute to Caius, dubbed Cai Cai, with adorable photos of the kid laughing, playing and enjoying life.

“Our baby boy turned ONE today,” Ayesha posted to Instagram. “Cai cai, the sweetest boy. I can’t believe it’s been a year.

“Bursting from the seams with love for him. This was a very nuanced day. I’ve had so many emotions.”

He is the youngest of the four Curry children, with two older sisters, named Riley and Ryan, and an older brother, named Canon, too and he came as a welcome addition for one of the NBA‘s most popular families.

“For so many years,” Ayesha told Sweet July in 2024. “Stephen and I thought we were done.

“And then, last year, we looked at each other and agreed we wanted to do this again.”

Ayesha also found the time to mark Mother’s Day too, praising herself for 13 years of raising children and the joys that has come with parenthood and the fundamental challenge of the task.

“Almost 13 years of being a mama,” Curry wrote with a collage of photos. “I am so beyond grateful for every second.

“I can’t believe that I’ve been blessed and tasked with raising FOUR incredibly smart, outspoken, beautiful, empathetic yet inherently stubborn human beings.

“My only hope is that you treat people the way you wish to be treated and love everyone. I am so proud of you already!”

Steph Curry injury update: Is he available for Game 4?

The Golden State Warriors are now trailing in their playoff series against the Minnesota Timberwolves after a Game 3 loss marked by a dominant second-half performance from Anthony Edwards.

The Timberwolves‘ young star exploded offensively, helping Minnesota secure a 2-1 lead in the series and shifting the pressure onto Golden State ahead of a pivotal Game 4.

Golden State struggled to maintain offensive rhythm late in the game, particularly in the absence of Stephen Curry. Despite Jimmy Butler‘s scoring drought in the final eight minutes, the Warriors failed to capitalize, highlighting the void left by Curry during crucial possessions.

However, positive news is here for Warriors fans. The Athletic’s Anthony Slater provided an update on the two-time MVP’s progress, reporting that Curry took part in some pregame activities but has yet to fully test the injured muscle.

“Curry didn’t push it to full speed, according to a team source,” Slater wrote. “He’s yet to burst or cut or test that left hamstring in a manner that’ll deliver him and Rick Celebrini – the team’s lead medical decision maker – the true information they’ll need on whether the hamstring is healed enough to return deeper in this series.”

The Warriors will look to win Game 4 to pull level in the series, but a loss will leave them on the brink of elimination.
