Zatímco Dánsko si v neděli mohlo užít volného dne, Čechy čekal až nečekaně obtížný soupeř. Roli favorita ale nakonec národní tým splnil a Nory porazil 2:1. „Soupeř hrál výborně. Dohrával souboje, jejich gólman stál na hlavě, chytil tři čtyři góly. Takže náročné, ale pro nás důležitá, ubojovaná výhra,“ hodnotil autor vítězné branky David Pastrňák.
Karel Vejmelka odchytal první dva duely. Dá se tedy předpokládat, že proti Dánům dostane poprvé šanci na velkém turnaji Daniel Vladař. Gólman Calgary chytal za národní tým poprvé před týdnem na závěrečném turnaji EHT v Brně. Otazník visí nad startem obránce Tomáše Kundrátka, který odstoupil ze zápasu s Norskem už v první třetině.
Národní tým je v letošní sezoně poměrně úspěšný při střelbě prvních gólů. Do vedení se dostal v 16 z 20 případů. S Dánskem se Rulíkův výběr střetl také na loňském šampionátu v Praze, Dánové obsadili předposlední příčku ve skupině. Čechům ale zavařili, vzájemný duel skončil 7:4.
MS v hokeji 2025
88. ročník mistrovství světa v hokeji je na programu v termínu od 9. do 25. května 2025. Hostí jej Švédsko a Dánsko, konkrétně města Stockholm a Herning.
Třetí soupeř národního týmu má na Česko vůbec dobré vzpomínky. Z posledních pěti zápasů pouze jednou odešli Dánové poražení bez zisku bodu. Stalo se tak právě loni v Praze. Předtím ale Čechy ve třech případech porazili. Jednou dokonce před třemi lety na olympijských hrách v Pekingu (2:1).
Domácí šampionát ale pro Dány nezačal slavně. Los se s nimi navíc nepáral. V prvním duelu nestačili na Američany 0:5, následovala porážka 2:5 se Švýcary.
