Last February, the iconic Grammy Awards ceremony was overshadowed by a controversial red carpet. The reason? The dress (or lack thereof) worn by Bianca Censori, Kanye West’s wife, which left absolutely everything on display and nothing to the imagination.
It was not the first time that the peculiar couple attracted attention for their extravagant outfits, but at the Grammys they exceeded all expectations after Censori took off the black coat she was wearing on the red carpet, revealing a totally transparent dress that she wore without underwear.

Although it is not known if this was the reason, the reality is that the Cannes Film Festival has imposed a dress code for the first time to try to avoid this type of situation. Thus, in this 78th edition, which opened yesterday, nudity or see-through clothing was prohibited. In the same way, they also asked that voluminous dresses with excessively long trains be avoided, citing practicality for movie theaters.

Despite this, there were several guests who decided to skip the red dress code of the Cannes Film Festival, putting fashion before film, the real reason for the festival.
Heidi Klum appeared on the red carpet in a dress with a long train. The model approached the Grand Theâtre Lumière in an Elie Saab design inspired by a pink peony.
Another actress who also skipped the dress code on “voluminous dresses” was Wan QianHui. The Chinese actress and singer walked the Cannes red carpet in a couture bridal gown featuring a long skirt made up of four large tulle ruffles.
Finally, Julia Garner also touched the red code in the field of transparency wearing an exclusive tulle piece. However, the dress was covered with a layer of sequins, so the actress was not expelled from there either.
