Die Chancen, den Zuschlag für das Juwel vom englischen Zweitligisten Sunderland zu bekommen, können am letzten Bundesliga-Spieltag massiv steigen, wenn es die Borussia nach großer Aufholjagd doch noch in die Champions League schaffen sollte. Der Mittelfeldspieler will in der kommenden Saison unbedingt in der Königsklasse spielen.
Bereits vor einer Woche berichtete SPORT BILD, dass Jobe das Transfer-Ziel Nummer 1 der Dortmunder ist und der Tabellenfünfte ihn für eine Ablöse im Bereich von 25 bis 30 Mio. Euro verpflichten will. Kurz darauf machte sich die hochrangige Delegation, bestehend aus Sport-Geschäftsführer Lars Ricken (48), Sportdirektor Sebastian Kehl (45), Kovac und Chefscout Sebastian Krug (42), auf den Weg nach England.
[–>Die Details: Beim Treffen war neben Vater Mark auch Jobe selbst anwesend. Den Dortmundern war es wichtig, dass er und Kovac sich kennenlernen. Und dass sie ihm persönlich sagen, wie viel sie von ihm halten.
Vor allem zwei Punkte betonten sie dabei: Dass er keinesfalls als Ergänzungsspieler kommt, sondern umgehend als Stammspieler und Leistungsträger eingeplant werden würde. Und: Dass sie keinesfalls die Geschichte von Bruder Jude kopieren wollen, sondern dass Jobe sein eigenes BVB-Kapitel schreiben soll.
Schon seit Jahren beobachtet der Revier-Klub Jobes Werdegang. Mehr als zehnmal scoutete der BVB ihn live im Stadion. In Sunderland gehört er zu den wichtigsten Säulen im Team von Trainer Régis Le Bris (49). Was die BVB-Bosse am meisten schätzen: seine Athletik, seine Durchsetzungsstärke, seine Tacklings, seine Flexibilität, im Mittelfeld sowohl defensiv als auch offensiv spielen zu können.

Bleibt der Haken, dass der BVB längst nicht der einzige Klub ist, der Bellingham will. Beide Mailänder Vereine – Inter und AC – sollen starkes Interesse signalisiert haben. Die noch größere Konkurrenz kommt aus der Premier League. Sämtliche Topklubs haben Bellingham auf der Liste. Dass nach Jude das nächste Bellingham-Juwel seine Karriere außerhalb Englands Grenzen absolviert, wollen die Vereine verhindern.
Die vergangenen Wochen haben jedoch gezeigt: Beim BVB scheint derzeit nichts unmöglich.

Imagn Images Ex-Michigan coach Sherrone Moore was detained by the Saline (Mich.) Police Department Wednesday hours after being fired by the school, according to ESPN.
