Ein ehemaliger Star von Manchester City packt aus!
Bayern-Legende Franck Ribéry trug von 2007 bis 2019 den Dress des Rekordmeisters und ließ die Gegenspieler über Jahre im Eins-gegen-Eins oft alt aussehen. Das bekam auch Ex-City-Profi Micah Richards (36) bei seinem Debüt in der Königsklasse gegen die Bayern (27. September 2011) zu spüren.
Im Format „Match of the Day – Top 10“ der BBC erzählt er England-Legende Gary Lineker (64) und Newcastle-Legende Alan Shearer (54) eine Anekdote, die sich im Vorfeld der Partie ereignete. Ribéry wollte die Fähigkeiten seines Gegenspielers genau kennen und hakte bei Samir Nasri (37) nach, den er aus der französischen Nationalmannschaft kannte.

Richards verneint: „Er sagte, er ist schnell und stark, also sei vorsichtig. Ja und im Spiel hat er mich zerstört. Aber ich hatte keine Hilfe von David Silva. Null Hilfe.“
Lineker hakt nach: „War er nicht gut in der Rückwärtsbewegung?“
Richards betont: „Er wollte überhaupt nicht nach hinten arbeiten. Deshalb habe ich es geliebt, mit James Milner zu spielen. Denn er hat mir einfach so sehr geholfen.“

Am Ende war Franck Ribéry einer der besten Spieler auf dem Platz. Für die Tore beim 2:0-Heimerfolg gegen City sorgte übrigens Mario Gomez (39), der neben Ribéry, Thomas Müller (35) und Toni Kroos (35) die Offensive der Bayern bildete.
Auf der Gegenseite spielte neben Debütant Richards übrigens auch Bayern-Trainer Vincent Kompany (39) als Kapitän in der Viererabwehrkette (Clichy, Toure, Kompany, Richards) der Cityzens.
