Ivanka Trump turned a viral moment into a playful and classy exchange with Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Eli Ricks after he publicly gushed over her appearance during the team’s recent White House visit. The first daughter left a handwritten message for Ricks inside the Eagles’ locker room during a family visit to the team’s training facility on Friday.

“Stopped by to say hi! Sorry to miss you! Go Birds!” she wrote in the note, which she later shared on X in direct response to Ricks’ now-viral admiration post from April 28.

The visit came just weeks after Ricks openly swooned over Trump online during the Eagles’ celebratory White House trip following their Super Bowl appearance.

Trump, a mother of three and longtime fixture in American politics and business, toured the Eagles’ facility with her children, including her youngest son, Theodore Kushner.

Who Could Be the Surprise Team This Year in the NFL?

She shared several heartwarming videos and photos of Theodore and his flag football teammates tossing the ball around on the Eagles’ practice field.

Ricks responds with humor

Ricks, who wasn’t present during Trump’s visit to the training complex, responded lightheartedly to her note with a repost on X:

“My apologies, I owe you a glass of wine now xx!” he wrote.

The 23-year-old defensive back made headlines after he posted candid thoughts on X during the White House trip.

“Donald trump daughter is beautiful damn,” he wrote.

“After seeing her in person Ivanka is exactly my type.”

He doubled down on his admiration by reposting photos of Ivanka, as well as a selfie of himself posing near a portrait of the attempted assassination of President Trump.

The post sparked waves of commentary from fans and media, blending pop culture with politics and sports in a way only the internet can.

Ricks, a California native and former standout at LSU and Alabama, joined the Eagles in 2023 as an undrafted free agent. Though he saw limited action last season, appearing in seven games primarily on special teams, he’s steadily earned a spot in Philadelphia’s locker room.
