Die Familie tauscht also Leverkusen gegen Madrid.

Was wird Alonso bald besonders fehlen?

Rockies meet Diamondbacks, aim for first series victory of season

Mandatory Credit: Matt Kartozian-Imagn Images Colorado interim manager Warren Schaeffer had a game -- and a celebration -- that he will never forget Saturday. The shaving cream on his face was a dead giveaway. After the Rockies overcame a five-run deficit for a 14-12 victory over Arizona in Phoenix, Schaeffer was packed into an equipment cart and rolled into the shower room. Let the dousing begin. "Age-old baseball tradition," said Schaeffer, who got his first victory in his fifth game since being promoted to replace manager Bud Black last Sunday. "They take you into the shower and pour all kinds of liquids on you. Whatever. ‘Chivi' (Angel Chivilli) had Listerine he was dumping on me. […]

Adam Schefter delivers bad news to Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce before season begins

Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs have ruled the AFC West with an iron grip for six straight seasons, but ESPN's Adam Schefter believes that dominance is about to face its stiffest test yet. Speaking this week on ESPN, Schefter warned that the 2025 season could bring more divisional adversity for the reigning Super Bowl contenders than Mahomes has ever faced as Kansas City's starter."This may just be the single toughest division and the most division challenges that Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs have faced since he started as the Chiefs' starting quarterback," Schefter said. "I see huge division challenges all across the board for the Chiefs, making it difficult for them to finish in the type of spot with as many wins as they normally do."Transformations unfolding across the AFC WestDid the Chiefs Miss an Opportunity With Their […]

Quinn Ewers solves his draft slump with a one-time contract that surprisingly earns him millions more

The transition from college to the NFL often comes with financial challenges, especially for late-round picks. But for Quinn Ewers, the newest quarterback for the Miami Dolphins, it's a different story. Despite being selected in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL Draft (231st overall), Ewers has already scored a major win off the field by securing a $3 million exclusive autograph trading-card deal with Panini. The deal was announced on Friday and, according to a source familiar with the terms, represents the biggest endorsement payday ever for a rookie drafted in the final round. That kind of off-field earning power is a continuation of the NIL-era momentum, and for Ewers, it offers a financial cushion most seventh-rounders can only dream of.Ewers' rookie contract with Miami is slotted at $4.3 million over four years, meaning his Panini deal alone is worth […]

Brock Purdy Was a Bargain, Now the San Francisco 49ers Are Paying the Price

When quarterback Brock Purdy was clearing out his locker in January after the San Francisco 49ers missed the NFL playoffs, he was asked about his upcoming contract talks.“I want to get it done quick,” Purdy said. “I’m not the kind of guy that wants to have any kind of drama associated with anything.” Purdy and the 49ers agreed to a reported five-year, $265 million extension Friday, ahead of the team’s first full-squad practice of the offseason on May 27. The deal signals Purdy’s ascension from Mr. Irrelevant — the 262nd and final pick in the 2022 NFL Draft — to franchise cornerstone. What Purdy accomplished during his rookie contract might rival that of Tom Brady, whom the Iowa State product beat in his first NFL start in Week 14 of the 2022 season. In 2023, his first full year as […]
