Dienstag geht es ums Viertelfinale – Eishockey-Klatsche gegen Tschechien

Am Dienstag (20.20 Uhr, ProSieben, MagentaSport, sportdeutschland.tv) kämpfen unsere Eishockey-Jungs in Herning um den Einzug ins Viertelfinale gegen Gastgeber Dänemark.

Gegen den amtierenden Weltmeister Tschechien verlieren wir trotz einer couragierten Leistung mit 0:5. Die nächste Klatsche für Deutschland!

Dennoch: Es ist eine deutliche Steigerung im Vergleich zu den Klatschen gegen die Schweiz (1:5) und die USA (3:6). Wir verlieren immer besser. Aber, Jungs: Dienstag heißt es „Verlieren ist verboten“! Bei einer neuerlichen Pleite gegen die zuletzt formstarken Dänen heißt es für unsere Nationalspieler leider: schönen Urlaub!

[–>Trainer Harry Kreis (66) versucht alles, stellt das Team neu auf. Yasin Ehliz (32) und Patrick Hager (36, beide München) gehen raus, dafür kommen Marcel Noebels (36) und Manuel Wiederer (28, beide Berlin) in die Mannschaft. Noebels in einer Sturmreihe mit Leo Pföderl (31, Berlin) und Josh Samanski (23, Straubing). Matthias Niederberger (32, München) steht für Philipp Grubauer (33, Seattle) in der Kiste.

Vor der Partie gegen den amtierenden Weltmeister sagt Noebels: „Jetzt kommt die Primetime.“

Und unser Team verkauft sich im ersten Spielabschnitt gegen den Titelverteidiger teuer. Wenn nur nicht diese Strafe wäre. Manuel Wiederer muss in die Kühlbox (6.). Der Weltmeister hat seine Stars auf dem Eis und David Pastrnak (28, Boston) versenkt zur Führung. Unser Unterzahlspiel ist leider nicht gut im bisherigen Turnierverlauf.

Doch davon lassen wir uns nicht beeindrucken, spielen munter mit. Dominik Kahun (29, Lausanne) hat den Ausgleich auf dem Schläger und trifft nur den Pfosten (20.). Schade!

Auch im Mitteldrittel halten wir gut mit. Erneut steht aber der Pfosten im Wege. Tim Stützle (23, Ottawa) hat sich wunderschön durchgetanzt (26.) und trifft nur das Eisen.

Nur eine Minute später sticht erneut die erste Reihe des Weltmeisters. Lukas Sedlak (32, Pardubice) schließt einen sehr guten Angriff ab – 0:2. Das 0:3 (30.) durch Jakub Flek (32. Brno) ist dann die Vorentscheidung im Spiel. Flek ist gerade mit seinem Klub Meister in Tschechien geworden. Der Weltmeister aus unserem Nachbarland ungemein effizient im Torabschluss. Jakub Lauko (25, Boston) markiert in Unterzahl (!) das 0:4. Übrigens ist Lauko auch ein guter Käfigkämpfer, betreibt Kampfsport in Boston.

Tatsache ist: Gegen die großen Hockey-Nationen (4:16 Tore) können wir bisher nichts ausrichten. Bei diesem Turnier sind zudem unserer Special-Teams unterirdisch. Das kostet auch ein besseres Resultat gegen Tschechien.

Mit dem 0:5 (17.) setzt erneut Flek den Schlusspunkt unter eine dann doch noch sehr klare Klatsche gegen den Titelverteidiger. Die Tschechen zauberten, wir schauten zum Schluss nur noch zu.
