Letos se turnaj odehraje od 3. do 27. listopadu. Zúčastní se ho 48 zemí, které los rozdělil do 12 čtyřčlenných skupin.
Český tým se dozvěděl soupeře během evropského šampionátu, kde ho po úvodních dvou porážkách v pondělí čeká závěrečný zápas s Anglií. „Kluci si los užili a byly během něj reakce, abychom nedostali tuto skupinu a podobně. Nakonec to dopadlo takto, musíme postupně sehnat informace o soupeřích. Uvidíme, jakou potom přímo na turnaji budeme mít aktuální formu my, to bude to nejdůležitější.
