After finishing rookie camp, Travis Hunter tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend, Leanna Lenee, on May 24.
In front of 250 guests, the happy couple celebrated their love at The Barn at Faith Farms in Athens, Tenn. Some of those in attendance shared tender and funny pictures and videos of the event on social media, but far from generating happiness in their followers and fans, a barrage of negativity fell on Travis and Leanna.

This is not the first time this has happened, as when Hunter injured his shoulder in 2024 and was unable to exploit his offensive two-way side it provoked the anger of fans. And if that wasn’t enough, they also took aim at his girlfriend.
In addition, Leanna herself was kept off social media since she stood by while Travis won the Heisman Trophy and was labeled a “gold digger,” even though the couple has been together since high school.

They harassed her, made her the subject of cruel accusations like infidelity and repeatedly insulted her. Even Travis – who was also on the receiving end of insults – went so far as to delete his official social media accounts.
However, Leanna – who had not posted on her Instagram since December of last year – came out of the shadows to shed light with her radiant post commemorating her marriage to the Jacksonville Jaguars rookie. Silencing the comments to haters, Hunter’s brand new wife shared a few photos from their wedding and wrote:
On 02/26/2022 you first asked me to be your girlfriend. Now 3.5 years later, on 05/24/2025, I became your wife. You make me the happiest woman on this planet and I am so excited to spend forever with you.
The couple stole the show
Leanna made her triumphant entrance in a white dress by New York designer Justin Alexander, with a plunging neckline and an open back. White roses sprouted from the end of the skirt, as well as from her veil.
The cornerback wore an elegant white three-piece suit, complete with bow tie and a white one-pocket boutonniere. Yes, they both wore white.

United since high school, Hunter wanted to show how big their love is. The 22-year-old gifted Leanna in February 2024, a princess-cut diamond engagement ring valued at approximately $100,000. “A million times yes,” she said in response, even though months later she sported an even bigger ring!
In addition, Travis recently presented his brand new wife with a Mercedes Benz, AMG G63 Brabus 800 model, which is valued at $200,000.
Looking ahead, Travis and Leanna haven’t left out the possibility of starting a family together, but they want to spend some time together as husband and wife before bringing their children into the world.
