Para o Fortaleza, é ‘vida ou morte’ na Libertadores. Com oito pontos, o Laion é o segundo colocado do Grupo E e se classifica para as oitavas de final se vencer o Racing, neste caso terminando a chave como campeão. Qualquer outro resultado só levará o Tricolor do Pici, que vem de mais uma derrota no Brasileirão (para o Cruzeiro) se o Atlético Bucaramanga não vencer o Colo-Colo.
Com isso, Juan Pablo Vojvoda terá de vencer a pressão da torcida adversária em Avellaneda. Mas terá ao menos quatro desfalques por lesão, estes sendo Lucas Sasha, Matheus Rossetto, Bruninho e Moisés. Por outro lado, terá um reforço importante no ataque, Marinho. O atacante foi ausência na derrota para a Raposa por suspensão e estará novamente à disposição.
Líder da chave, com dez pontos, o Racing está já garantido nas oitavas de final da Libertadores. Resta saber se La Academia será ou não primeira colocada da chave, o que um simples empate dará. Com a eliminação no Apertura do Campeonato Argentino, tem apenas a competição continental para jogar neste momento.
Um grande problema para Gustavo Costas pode surgir em Vietto. O jogador se tornou dúvida do time de Avellaneda para a partida desta quinta-feira devido a uma sacroleíte (inflamação de uma articulação na base da coluna vertebral). Salas, também lesionado, é desfalque certo enquanto Degregorio pode pintar entre os titulares.
