Corinthians: Casagrande critica partida de Memphis Depay na Sul-Americana e pede mais vibração ao jogador

Na noite de ontem (27), o Corinthians enfrentou os reservas do Huracán, precisando apenas de um empate para avançar na Copa Sul-Americana. Mas, o Timão acabou derrotado por 1 a 0 e deu adeus à competição de forma precoce, ainda na fase de grupos. Essa já é a segunda eliminação do time em competições continentais esse ano. Em março, o time havia caído na pré-Libertadores para o Barcelona de Guayaquil.

No programa “Uol News Esporte”, exibido no Youtube, o comentarista Casagrande analisou essa derrota corintiana e se mostrou decepcionado com o craque Memphis Depay. O comentarista falou sobre a importância que ele teve ano passado, mas chamou a atenção para a falta de produtividade em 2025, principalmente nas partidas fora de casa. “Ele não assume uma posição de líder técnico dentro de campo. Ano passado, sim, mas era uma necessidade, o Corinthians não tinha o que fazer a não ser ir para o ataque e buscar as vitórias. Esse ano, até agora, o Memphis não fez nenhuma partida boa.”, opinou.

Casagrande critica comportamento de Memphis Depay

Na sequência, o comentarista seguiu criticando o astro holandês, dizendo que sente uma indiferença dele com o resultado dentro de campo. Casão entende que muitas vezes falta ele vibrar mais nas vitórias e se lamentar mais nas derrotas. Fora isso, não parece se incomodar quando joga mal e participa pouco do jogo, como foi ontem.

“Para ele é indiferente, ficar na Sul-Americana, classificar ou não na Libertadores, tanto faz. Eu não vejo uma diferença emocional. Eu não vejo aquela grande euforia quando ganha e aquela grande tristeza quando perde”, opinou Casagrande, que disse estar decepcionado e indignado com ele há muito tempo, não só pela atuação de ontem, que mais uma vez foi abaixo em um jogo decisivo.

Números do atacante do Corinthians

No Corinthians desde setembro do ano passado, Memphis Depay chegou ao futebol brasileiro como uma grande estrela, após passagens por Barcelona, Manchester United, Atlético de Madrid e seleção holandesa. Rapidamente se destacou dentro de campo e caiu nas graças do torcedor, que se identificou com ele. Nessa primeira temporada, foi fundamental para tirar o time da zona de rebaixamento no Brasileirão e levar à Libertadores, em uma arrancada histórica.

Este ano, porém, houve uma queda de rendimento, embora os números não sejam ruins. Foram 27 jogos, seis gols e 10 assistências. Ao todo, ele soma 41 jogos, 13 gols e 14 assistências com a camisa do Timão. Com pouco tempo no clube, ele é bastante respeitado por torcedores e dirigentes. Recentemente, o atacante deu uma entrevista criticando o trabalho do técnico Ramón Díaz, que acabou demitido dias depois.
