Simone Biles has not only become a role model in the world of gymnastics, but has also captivated colleagues and rivals.
The four-time Olympic gold medalist did not always have it easy and had to overcome various obstacles to get where she is today. Her parents were addicted to drugs and alcohol, so Biles spent her childhood being raised by her maternal grandparents.

That is why her life story has added to the reasons why Biles is now a role model for her fans.
An example of this was shared by Simone herself when, using her official social media accounts, she shared the story of a little girl who chose the gymnast as her role model for a school project.

Her father, Matthew Stephen, posted four photos of the little girl dressed as Biles along with posters in her honor, and wrote: “My daughter worked very hard on her project about her role model, @Simone_Biles, for the last 3 months. She was so excited to make her presentation and she killed it!!! She was a little bummed we couldn’t do her braids in the middle like Simone does, but I say she rocked it!”
Biles’ true legacy
Without a doubt, Simone’s presence as a public figure and her work to achieve great goals stands out on its own. However, her tireless fight to raise awareness about mental health has been another issue that has made her a role model in this situation.
Suzy’s new study, “Empowering Women’s Wellness: Addressing Stressors and Creating Supportive Brand Partnerships,” states that the gymnast inspired 63% of women to prioritize their mental health.
In addition, she continues to encourage young girls to pursue sports and achieve their dreams. In 2023, 4-year-old Hayden Hester decided to dress up as Biles for her special day at school. Her mother, Kelsey Raylin Hester, also shared pictures and videos of her daughter on social media. “Dress like your favorite celebrity day! Hayden said she wanted to be @Simone_Biles-the greatest gymnast in the world!” she wrote.
“Super cute. Dream big, girly!!!!!” Simone replied when she saw the little girl.
Without a doubt, Simone Biles continues to inspire girls and women of all ages.
