Der AC Mailand hat gerade die schlechteste Saison der letzten zehn Jahre hinter sich. Nur Tabellenplatz 8, das internationale Geschäft verpasst. Milan-Trainer Sergio Conceicao (50) musste seinen Posten räumen, das gaben die Italiener am Donnerstag bekannt. Ein Nachfolger soll schon gefunden sein – und er ist ein alter Bekannter.

Kommt mit Allegri der Erfolg zurück? Der Italiener trainierte die „Rossoneri“ bereits von 2010 bis Anfang 2014, holte mit dem Team 2011 sogar den Meistertitel.
Allegri hat seit seinem Milan-Abgang nur Liga-Konkurrent Juventus Turin trainiert. Ab Sommer 2014 betreute er die „Alte Dame“ für fünf Spielzeiten, 2021 kehrte er nach zwei Jahren Pause dort auf die Trainerbank zurück. Mit fünf Meistertiteln und zwei Champions-League-Finals sammelte er beachtliche Erfolge.

Eigentlich wurde der Übungsleiter zuletzt immer wieder mit Serie-A-Meister Neapel in Verbindung gebracht. Antonio Conte führte die Napoli zwar zum Scudetto, anschließend standen aber trotzdem Gerüchte über einen Abschied im Raum. Es kam aber zur Kehrtwende – Conte bleibt. Das hat der Klub inzwischen offiziell bestätigt. Dazu war Allegri auch bei Saudi-Klub Al-Ahli im Gespräch. Nun also der Trainer-Hammer bei Milan.
Für Mailand wird es bereits der dritte Trainerwechsel in nur einem Jahr. Paulo Fonseca (52), der zu Saisonbeginn von Stefano Pioli übernommen hatte, hielt nur ein halbes Jahr durch. Conceicao übernahm die „Rossoneri“ dann kurz vorm Jahreswechsel. Doch auch unter dem portugiesischen Übungsleiter enttäuschte Milan, verpasste am Ende sogar das internationale Geschäft.
