Nach dem Ende der Saison lässt der „kicker“ in jedem Jahr die Bundesliga-Spieler abstimmen.
Eine Kategorie dabei: Welcher Spieler hat am meisten enttäuscht? Von den 216 Profis, die anonym an der Abstimmung teilnahmen, erhielt Bayern Münchens João Palhinha (29) die meisten: Für den Portugiesen stimmten 13,4 Prozent.
[–>Für rund 50 Mio. Euro war Palhinha im Sommer 2024 aus Fulham zum Rekordmeister gewechselt. Doch unter Trainer Vincent Kompany (39) kommt der Portugiese kaum zum Einsatz. In der abgelaufenen Saison stand Palhinha in der Bundesliga nur sechsmal in der Startelf, elfmal wurde er eingewechselt. Allerdings bremsten Verletzungen Palhinha immer wieder aus.
Auf Rang zwei landete Borussia Dortmunds Julian Brandt (29/10,2 Prozent), Dritter wurde Victor Boniface (24) von Bayer Leverkusen mit 6,9 Prozent.
Von Bayer 04 kommt auch der diesjährige Gewinner: Nationalspieler Florian Wirtz (22) ist für seine Kollegen weiter der beste Spieler der Bundesliga.
Wirtz, der die Abstimmung auch im vergangenen Jahr gewonnen hatte, setzte sich mit 28,2 Prozent der Stimmen vor Bayern-Star Michael Olise (24/26,4 Prozent) durch.
