„Vůbec se nedivím, že má Michal nabídky z NHL, protože si svými výkony řekl o smlouvu a já mu to moc přeju. Pro nás to znamená, že budeme řešit brankářskou otázku,“ prohlásil Zábranský.
Nyní má Kometa podepsané brankářské duo Gašper Krošelj a Jan Kavan. První jmenovaný matador je v klubu v roli mentora. Že by brněnský klub vsadil po Postavově odchodu na mladého odchovance Kavana jako na gólmanskou jedničku Zábranský vylučuje.
„U Honzy je situace o něco jiná, Michal už má za sebou odchytané špičkové sezony v Přerově. Nechtěl bych teď na sotva dvacetiletého kluka hodit balvan obhajoby s názvem Kometa,“ vysvětlil Zábranský.
Na uprázdněné místo prvního brankáře by podle informací Sport.cz mohl přijít Aleš Stezka, s nímž Kometa jednala už před rokem, ale zkušený gólman se rozhodl prodloužit smlouvu v Seattlu, kde se ovšem do A týmu neprosadil.
Jasno je již o dalších pohybech směrem ven z klubu. „Odchází Nicolas Beaudin, protože post ofenzivního prvního beka je s příchodem Filipa Krále jasně daný. Pro Nicolase by nebyl prostor na ledě, ale ani v rozpočtu, což je férové říct. Je tady i odchod Tomáše Rachůnka, který není hráčem do třetí nebo čtvrté lajny a prostor v prvních dvou tam nevidím,“ poznamenal Zábranský.
Ten se vyjádřil také k propíranému odchodu mladého odchovance Jakuba Konečného, jenž odešel za vyšším vytížením na Kladno.
„Víckrát v sezoně jsem u něj byl mírně řečeno rozladěný. Aby si někdo vynucoval víc prostoru, stěžoval si, že nehraje přesilovky a podobně, tak to ne. Nakonec sportovnímu manažerovi Tomáši Vincourovi řekl, že v Kometě nechce nadále působit, takže jsme rozvázali smlouvu,“ poznamenal Zábranský.
Boss klubu se vyjádřil taky ke spekulacím ohledně možného příchodu Michala Kempného do Komety. „Nechápu, kde se tato informace vzala. Nikdy jsme o tom neuvažovali a ani nebudeme,“ dodal Zábranský.
