A crise política do Corinthians ganhou mais um capítulo. Nesta quarta (9), o presidente Augusto Melo falou sobre o tema, em entrevista concedida ao programa Arena SBT. O dirigente negou que tenha enganado a torcida do clube. Ele citou títulos conquistados nos últimos anos.
“(Sobre) paguei com traição. Um ano de ingressos congelados, um ano sem dinheiro e a gente ainda mantendo um dos ingressos mais baratos do mundo para que pudesse dar chance à torcida (ir ao estádio). O corintiano está sorrindo. Dei título Paulista, dei título da Copa São Paulo. A gente está equacionando algumas situações. Isso é traição?”, questionou.
Augusto Melo também falou sobre a retirada temporária do cargo de presidente do Corinthians. O mandatário deixou a sede do clube antes da votação ocorrer, na semana passada. Ele negou que o ato tenha influência direta da polícia.
“Não fui convidado pela polícia. Ao contrário, eu que tive um acordo com o Osmar (Stabile, presidente interino do Corinthians) de me retirar numa boa, tranquilo, para que acabasse isso, para não continuar”, relatou.
“Se não a gente ia ficar a noite inteira, ou teria todo mundo que ir para a delegacia resolver lá. Porque o impasse, juridicamente, nós estamos certos. Quanto a isso, estou tranquilo”, continuou o presidente do Corinthians.
Augusto Melo nega golpe no Corinthians
O dirigente também assegurou que não age para ficar no poder a qualquer custo. “Sou contra. Golpe estão tentando me dar desde o primeiro dia e estão tentando conseguir. Todo mundo fala do estatuto. Tem que cumprir o estatuto. Eu não saí numa boa? Se saiu, se foi votado, tem que sair. E eu saí numa boa. Não esperneei nada. Fui buscar meus direitos. Só isso”, declarou.
“É isso que eles têm que fazer também, mas deixa que agora infelizmente é a justiça que vai resolver. A minha parte eu fiz. Agora dar golpe? Eu sou o primeiro contrário a isso. Estou levando golpe desde o dia que eu assumi esse inferno. E com tudo isso, estou conseguindo trabalhar”, finalizou o dirigente do Corinthians.
