Er hat eine durchwachsene Saison hinter sich, aber wer hat das beim SC DHfK Leipzig in der Daikin Handball-Bundesliga nicht? Die Sachsen haben eine fürchterliche Spielzeit auf die Platte gebracht.
Torwart Domenico Ebner (31) zählte in den vergangenen Jahren immer zu den statistisch besten Torhütern der Liga. Die guten Werte des aus Freiburg stammenden italienischen Nationalspielers sind den Liga-Konkurrenten nicht verborgen geblieben.

Handball-Bundesliga: HC Erlangen an Ebner dran
In der Handball-Szene ist die Information schon unterwegs. Der finanziell gut aufgestellte HC Erlangen soll bei Ebner und seinem Management angefragt haben, ob er sich einen Wechsel zu den aktuell massiv abstiegsgefährdeten Mittelfranken vorstellen könne. Der Deutsch-Italiener hat in Leipzig noch bis 30. Juni 2026 einen Vertrag, diesen Sommer wäre ein Wechsel also ablösepflichtig.
SPORT BILD hakte bei Ebners Berater Markus Becker nach: „Es ist völlig normal, dass es immer wieder Anfragen für einen Spieler wie Domenico gibt. Sein Fokus liegt aber aktuell auf dem SC DHfK Leipzig.“ Das bedeutet, dass es außer Erlangen noch weitere Mitbewerber gibt.
[–>Fraglich ist außerdem, ob Ebner den nächsten Karriere-Schritt bei einem international tätigen Klub bevorzugen würde. Bei einem Wechsel nach Erlangen würde er nach aktuellem Leistungsstand im Keller nur von einem ins nächste Zimmer umziehen.
Derzeit viel entscheidender ist im Falle Leipzig jedoch, ob sich die Sachsen am Sonntag (15 Uhr, live bei Dyn/Anzeige) beim TVB Stuttgart erneut so lustlos und schwach präsentieren wie beim peinlichen 25:34 gegen die SG BBM Bietigheim.
Gegen Bietigheim kam Ebner in der 21. Minute ins Spiel, seine zwölf gehaltenen Bälle bei 35 Prozent Paradenquote konnten das Desaster auch nicht verhindern. Dem Vernehmen nach soll der Schlussmann wegen der anhaltenden Abwärtsentwicklung nicht mehr so zufrieden in Leipzig sein.
