GAINESVILLE, Va. — Although the spotlight is typically on Crushers GC captain Bryson DeChambeau, and rightfully so, it was another Crushers GC player that charged to the top of the leaderboard on Super Saturday at LIV Golf Virginia.
Anirban Lahiri, who has four runner-up finishes without a win on LIV Golf, shot a brilliant 7-under 64 to seize control of the individual leaderboard. The 37-year-old made seven birdies without a blemish on the scorecard. Lahiri made a 39-foot par putt on the 16th hole to salvage his momentum and converted another miraculous par on the 18th after having to get up-and-down from over 100 yards away in the rough.
A trio of veterans, Graeme McDowell, Bubba Watson and Martin Kaymer, also announced their presence on the leaderboard heading into Sunday’s final round. At 9-under par, they find themselves just two shots back of Lahiri.
McDowell, who’s never finished better than T5 in any LIV Golf event, shot a 5-under par with birdies on Nos. 15, 16 and 17 to catapult himself up the leaderboard. Watson, captain of RangeGoats GC, made birdies on 17 and 18 before finishing with pars on Nos. 1 and 2 to finish his round. Kaymer has played steady golf all week and kept himself in the mix with a 67 after sharing the first-round lead with DeChambeau.

McDowell, 47, Watson, 48, and Kaymer, 40, will all have a fantastic opportunity to challenge for their first LIV Golf win.
Smash GC had an excellent day, tying the team lead (-20) with the Lahiri-led Crushers. All four Smash players shot under par with Talor Gooch and Jason Kokrak both shooting 67 to go along with McDowell’s 66. Paul Casey played an inspired round for the Crushers, shooting a 5-under-66.
LIV Golf’s top three in the individual standings: Joaquin Niemann, DeChambeau and Jon Rahm all are within striking distance. The three are tied for fifth at 7 under and just four off the lead.
Lahiri, Watson and McDowell will play in Sunday’s final group, as tee times have been moved up due to weather.

Dyson Daniels took his game to a new level with the Atlanta Hawks last season. After putting up middling scoring figures and showing strong defensive instincts with the New Orleans Pelicans, Daniels broke out in Atlanta, earning himself the Most Improved Player award for the 2024-25 NBA season. That performance also earned Daniels a new four-year, $100 million rookie contract extension ahead of Monday's deadline, according to ESPN's Shams Charania.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementThe move indicates the Hawks are all-in on Daniels following last year's breakout. After averaging 4.8 points and 3.5 rebounds over two seasons with the Pelicans, Daniels blossomed after being traded to the Hawks last July.Daniels, 22, was installed as a full-time starter with Atlanta and saw virtually every one of his stats improve. He averaged 14.1 points, 5.9 rebounds and 4.3 assists. He also led the league with 3.0 steals per […]
We’ve entered the final third of the college football regular season, the time when market efficiency collides with motivation, health and desperation. By late October, teams’ true identities are mostly formed, but oddsmakers still have to weigh everything from quarterback play to locker room morale. That’s where the edges live: reading between the box scores and fading the noise of recent results.Week 9 offers exactly that: A handful of lines that look off at first glance but make sense only once you dig deeper. The value lies in anticipating where perception will outpace reality.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisement[Yahoo Sports TV is here! COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Remember the Swagcopter? In a different era of Texas A&M football, it was merely a way for Kevin Sumlin and his staff to hop from one high school game to another but became a symbol of the program’s largesse and ultimately its superficiality as the recruits it helped sign didn’t translate to enough wins.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementRemember the faux national championship trophy with a space left blank to fill in the year Jimbo Fisher and his groundbreaking $75 million contract were supposed to bring one back here?It became, yet again, the emblem of a school trying to speak something into existence that nobody around here realized had to be earned rather than bought. For its first dozen years in the Southeastern Conference, Texas A&M and its supporters would stand on their proverbial mountain of cash and shout to the masses how […]
Bettors who got involved with any element of the Giants-Broncos zaniness on Sunday deserved some sort of reward at the end. Sitting on that roller-coaster merits some payback when the ride stops. But sports betting is gambling, so it doesn’t always work that way. Still, there were some interesting winners in the wake of Denver’s stunning 33-32 comeback victory. How about placing a $10 in-game wager in the final two minutes of that chaos, and having it turn into more than $1,000 in that short window?More on that bet, along with major wagers and profitable parlays in NFL and college football betting this past weekend. This page may contain affiliate links to legal sports betting partners.
