Manny Pacquiao can’t enjoy Hall of Fame induction as he puts boxing ahead of legacy

As a true legend of the sport of boxing, Manny Pacquiao has nothing left to prove. He’s won it all, while also carving out a legacy outside of the sport through various avenues. Still, it’s not enough for PacMan. He wants more, and he’s set to try to get it on July 19, when he returns to professional boxing at 46 years old to face Mario Barrios in a world title fight.

To fortify the point that what Pacquiao is doing is unprecedented, this week he was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame, while he’s in the middle of a training camp for a world title fight. No one else can say they’ve accomplished that. While it’s yet to be decided if Pacquiao has anything left in the tank against a much-younger and in-form fighter like Barrios, Pacquiao can at least say he’s doing something incredible. And he’s fully focused on it.

Manny Pacquiao training for his professional boxing comeback

Manny Pacquiao calls it an early night during Hall of Fame induction event

In fact, Pacquiao refused to stay too long following the induction ceremony. According to Ryan Songalia of BoxingScene, who spoke to Pacquiao’s personal assistant, PacMan called it an early night due to his strict camp schedule.

Manny Pacquiao reportedly set for ring return with July title bout

While some of this year’s inductees to the International Boxing Hall of Fame were headed to the casino after Saturday’s Banquet of Champions to mingle with fans, Manny Pacquiao was heading right back to his room… “He just flew in today, and we’re trying to keep him on a schedule,” said personal assistant David Sisson as he explained why Pacquiao is calling it an early night around 11 p.m. ET.

Whatever fans think about Pacquiao’s return and whether he can actually pull off the win, or even not get dominated at such an advanced age, there’s no denying he’s putting all his eggs into this basket. He’s seeking greatness and doing everything needed to pull it off.

Travis Kelce challenges his own Chiefs teammate and turns the team’s practice into a show

In a striking moment atKansas City's mandatory minicamp, Travis Kelce reaffirmed his identity, not just as a top-tier tight end, but as a cultural icon who refuses to tone down his flair for the sake of conformity. His bold celebration directly clashed with Harrison Butker's recent advocacy for subdued, respectful post-touchdown conduct. Essentially, the moment on the practice field wasn't just another catch; it was Kelce making a statement. The tension simmering in the locker room stems from two very different philosophies. Butker, the Chiefs' dependable kicker, recently voiced concerns about excessive celebrations. Without naming names, he questioned whether players would still celebrate if "our Lord was playing" and wondered if touchdown dances might be over the top. His pointed comments sparked curiosity: Would this more restrained mindset permeate the rest of the team?Kelce, never one to kowtow, delivered his response […]

It’s Official: Stephen A. Smith Admits He Hates LeBron James — and It’s Obvious

After a viral spat surrounding Bronny James just a few short months ago, top ESPN basketball personality Stephen A. Smith admitted that he simply does not like LeBron James. This is an instance of two stars quite literally colliding. James is the best basketball player of this generation — a fact that hasn’t been up for debate for the last decade. Smith is one of the highest-paid sports personalities in history and has reshaped the way sports conversations happen on television. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Smith admitted that he does not like James — and that James doesn’t like him either — and accused LeBron of using the Bronny story as an excuse to go after ESPN’s top talker. “I don’t like him, and he don’t like me. He’s one of the greatest players who’s ever lived. […]
