Ein Desaster! Anders lässt sich die vergangene Saison der „Red Devils“ nicht beschreiben. Mit nur 42 Punkten landeten sie auf Platz 15. So schlecht wie noch nie in der Premier League-Ära.
Ein großes Problem: Toreschießen! Nur vier Teams erzielten weniger Treffer als United. Joshua Zirkzee und Rasmus Hojlund stehen dabei besonders in der Kritik. Gerade mal sieben Tore schafften die beiden Youngsters – zusammen.

Inter drängt seit Wochen auf eine Verpflichtung des Dänen. Der Klub will ihn ausleihen und mit einer Kaufoption ausstatten. Manchester United aber besteht auf einem sofortigen Verkauf für für 45 bis 50 Millionen Euro. 2023 war der Offensivspieler für 78 Millionen Euro von Atalanta Bergamo gekommen.
Berichte aus Italien behaupten, Hojlund habe Inter bereits zugesagt. Doch noch vor wenigen Tagen sprach der Däne von einem Verbleib bei United. Geht er nicht, wird es nächste Saison nur noch härter für ihn: Sein Nachfolger wurde bereits verpflichtet – Matheus Cunha (26).

Laut „Corriere dello Sport“ wurde in den Gesprächen zwischen Manchester und Mailand auch ein weiterer Name diskutiert – der von Joshua Zirkzee.
Bei dem Ex-Bayern-Star lehnte United den Vorstoß Milans jedoch ab, berichtet die Zeitung. Die „Red Devils“ zögern – trotz Zirkzees magerer Torquote – den Angreifer ziehen zu lassen.
