According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Nick Chubb will join the Texans after a medical examination. Now, their backfield will feature the power and explosiveness of the former Cleveland Browns player, his only team. With the agility and versatility Mixon has demonstrated, the opportunity to create more defined, unexpected, and diverse ground attacks is before them.
But despite this news, Jesse Morse, a popular doctor, has made his concern known and has taken to his official X account to share it with his followers. “I’m starting to get concerned about Joe Mixon,” he began.
The debate that Morse started
Mentioning his ankle sprain last season, which kept him off the field for three games, “recently spotted in a walking boot after having offseason foot/ankle/leg (?) surgery. There’s been no details released yet,” Morse explained, opening the debate about Joe’s health.
The truth is that the team has not provided details about Mixon’s alleged surgery, but if that were the case, it would explain Chubb’s arrival in Houston. “What are the Texans not telling us about Mixon’s injury?” Jesse asked to conclude his post.
We know that having good running backs never hurts. Having an ace up your sleeve is key to staying ahead of potential problems that may arise along the way.
In March 2024, Joe signed a three-year contract extension, through 2026, worth $27 million, so his presence on the team would be assured. He finished with 1,016 rushing yards, 309 receiving yards, and 12 total touchdowns. And even though Chubb is no longer what he used to be, his merger with Mixon could yield great results.
