Carlo Ancelotti está confiante de que possa contar com Neymar para os jogos da próxima Data Fifa com a seleção brasileira, programados para os dias 4 a 9 de setembro, contra Chile e Bolívia, respectivamente. No entendimento do experiente comandante, o craque do Santos tem condições de “jogar todos os setores do campo”, desde que esteja 100% fisicamente, algo que ainda não se concretizou na volta do atleta ao futebol brasileira.
Ausente nos confrontos contra Equador e Paraguai por conta do aspecto físico, em decorrência de lesões musculares, o atacante de 33 anos é aguardado por Ancelotti para os compromissos de setembro nas Eliminatórias, e deve ser utilizado no setor de armação, posição esta ocupada por Matheus Cunha no triunfo magro sobre o Paraguai, conquistado na última terça-feira (10), na Neo Química Arena.
“Neymar veio ao hotel nos cumprimentar. Demos um abraço, ele sempre está próximo da seleção. Quando estiver bem, pode jogar em qualquer lugar do campo. Mas temos que imaginá-lo na mesma posição do [Matheus] Cunha, que era como um número 10, não um centroavante. Podia fazer e ser muito perigoso nessa posição”, disse o treinador durante a coletiva após vitória sobre o Paraguai.
Longo hiato distante da seleção brasileira
O último jogo de Neymar defendendo a seleção brasileira foi justamente quando o craque amargou a lesão mais grave na carreira, tendo rompido o ligamento do joelho no duelo contra o Uruguai, em outubro de 2023, em Montevidéu. O problema tirou o camisa 10 de combate por um ano, sendo necessário procedimento cirúrgico, com longa recuperação.
Em março deste ano, Dorival Júnior chegou a convocar o atacante para a Data Fifa, mas um problema físico sofrido em jogo do Paulistão, diante do Red Bull Bragantino, culminou no corte do atleta, que também acabou perdendo o confronto das semis do estadual frente ao Corinthians. Desde que desembarcou no Peixe, o jogador perdeu pouco mais de dois meses por conta de lesões musculares.
Neymar se aproxima de ‘fico’ no Santos
Depois de uma longa ‘novela’ e cenário indefinido, Neymar caminha para oficializar permanência no Peixe até o final da próxima Copa do Mundo. O vínculo vigente do craque com o time alvinegro é válido até o dia 30 de junho, mas houve avanço nas conversas acerca da extensão de contrato. Nos bastidores, o pai do atleta é responsável por alinhavar as tratativas com o presidente Marcelo Teixeira, e a boa relação entre as partes figura como ‘trunfo’ para uma permanência.
Suspenso após ser expulso na rodada passada do Brasileirão, o craque não estará disponível para o jogo do Santos diante do Fortaleza, agendado para esta quinta (12), no Castelão. Diante da pausa do certame nacional, o atacante só se reapresentará no clube no próximo dia 27, junto com os demais companheiros, no período de intertemporada que o Santos terá até retomar o calendário nacional.
