Nesta quinta-feira (12), o Atlético-MG recebeu o Internacional na Arena MRV e venceu com autoridade. O Galo aplicou 2 a 0 no Inter, em partida da 12ª rodada do Campeonato Brasileiro. Assim, o time mineiro se aproximou do G6, empatado com o 6º colocado Fluminense em pontos. Enquanto isso, o time gaúcho entrou na zona de rebaixamento do Brasileirão.
O Atlético-MG começou a partida tomando pressão até os meados dos 20 minutos do primeiro tempo, quando começou a pressionar também. Logo aos 30′, Rubens fez um cruzamento para a área que parecia não ter um destino muito bom. Mas o zagueiro Vitão, do Inter, fez uma lambança, e cabeceou contra o próprio gol. Assim, o Galo saiu na frente no placar, e ficou mais tranquilo.
Depois do gol contra, o Atlético-MG passou a administrar mais a partida, sem fazer grandes jogadas de perigo. Enquanto isso, o Internacional tentava romper a defesa do Galo, mas não conseguia fazer jogadas com muita eficiência. Assim, no final do jogo, já aos 49′ do segundo tempo, Júnior Santos recebeu um belo passe de Igor Gomes nas costas da zaga gaúcha e tocou na saída do goleiro para fazer 2 a 0.
A derrota do Internacional causou revolta em torcedores colorados nas redes sociais. A maioria pedindo a saída do técnico Roger Machado após o time amargar sua 6ª partida sem vencer no Brasileirão. Mais analítico, um colorado pontuou sobre a queda de rendimento do Inter, “que era um time que sabia jogar com a bola e atacando”. Mas depois que o treinador fez mudanças no esquema tático, “continua sem saber defender e parece que desaprendeu a atacar”.
Outros torcedores mais emocionados pediram a saída de Roger Machado diretamente. Um deles determinou: “teu trabalho no clube acabou”. Outro fanático questionou a justificativa do treinador de estar bem classificado nas copas (Libertadores e Copa do Brasil): “chega a ser desafiador à inteligência do torcedor”, escreveu o internauta.

Assim, na Copa do Brasil, o clube eliminou o modesto Maracanã, do Ceará, e vai enfrentar o Fluminense nas oitavas de final. Enquanto isso, na Libertadores o Colorado está na mesma fase, e vai encarar outro carioca, o Flamengo.
