Zagueiro do Verdão fez projeção sobre partida contra o Inter Miami, nesta segunda-feira (23), pela última rodada da primeira fase
O Palmeiras obteve diante do Al Ahly a primeira vitória na Copa do Mundo de Clubes da Fifa e conseguiu dar mais um passo para tentar a classificação para a próxima fase, em uma performance bastante elogiada diante da equipe egípcia.
Diferente da estreia, o empate sem gols com o Porto, no qual o time tentou muito mas não conseguiu fazer o gol, o Verdão conseguiu marcar e embalar na luta pela classificação para a próxima fase do Mundial de Clubes, que será definido nesta segunda-feira diante do Inter Miami, na rodada final do Grupo A.

O zagueiro Gustavo Gómez falou sobre como o time encarou as duas partidas que fez até aqui no certame. Para o defensor palmeirense, a ansiedade atrapalhou demais contra os portugueses, mas vê o time melhorando depois de vencer o Al Ahly e espera ver tal evolução se mostrar no restante da competição.
“Acho que fizemos um bom jogo. Teve muita ansiedade (diante do Porto) por ser o primeiro jogo, por ser Mundial e por ser um grande clube como o Porto. Mas acho que a gente jogou bem, não conseguimos a vitória, mas ficamos tranquilos porque fizemos tudo para ganhar”, declarou Gómez segundo o GE.
“O segundo jogo (Al Ahly) foi mais perigoso, mas acho que o time vai, de jogo a jogo, melhorando. Agora estamos trabalhando para conseguir os três pontos”, completou o zagueiro.
Agora é contra Messi
Contra o Inter Miami, até o empate pode dar a chance do Palmeiras se classificar como primeiro da chave, diante do cenário. Gustavo Gómez destacou o rival, especialmente os dois principais jogadores deste, Lionel Messi e Luis Suárez, mas também confia que, apesar das estrelas que estarão do outro lado, o Verdão tem suas chances de vencer mais uma na Copa do Mundo de Clubes.
“A gente sabe dos jogadores do Inter Miami, como Messi e Suárez, que são muito fortes. Mas estamos trabalhando forte para conseguir os três pontos e a classificação Vai ser um jogo difícil”, comentou.
