2024 lehnte Rangnick noch ein Angebot vom FC Bayern München ab. Jetzt gibt es wohl ernsthafte Gespräche, wie man in österreichischen Verbandskreisen tuschelt – mit Hertha BSC.
Richtig, der Zweitligist, der aufsteigen möchte, hat vor Kurzem Kontakt zu Rangnick aufgenommen. Es gab ein Treffen in Wien. Gesprächsinhalt: Der Champions-League-Macher und der Krisenklub aus der Hauptstadt – kann das funktionieren?

Der Hertha-Boss sah sofort die historisch einmalige Chance, den „schlafenden Riesen Hertha“ (O-Ton Franz Beckenbauer) mit Rangnicks Hilfe zurück in die Bundesliga zu führen. Kriegt er den Deal hin?
Die Berliner rund um Kay-Bernstein-Nachfolger Drescher suchen bekanntlich einen Sport-Geschäftsführer. Auch Ex-Bielefeld Manager Samir Arabi (46) ist im Rennen. Kürzlich hat Hertha den Markt durch die Agentur „SportHeads“ abgrasen lassen, um alle möglichen Optionen zu prüfen. Dort soll Ex-BVB-Direktor Sven Mislintat (52) weit oben auf einer Kandidatenliste stehen.
Wen sieht er da nur?: Was für eine Torwart-Panne!
Zurück zu Rangnick. Ob dieser den Posten als Geschäftsführer ausüben oder eher eine Art „Master Mind“ im Hintergrund sein würde, ist offen.
Zumal Rangnick, der zuletzt u.a. bei Manchester United arbeitete, davor u.a. Hoffenheim aus der 4. Liga in die Bundesliga und Leipzig in die Champions League führte, Österreich bis zur WM 2026 weitercoachen wird, wie er seinen Nationalspielern versprach.
Allerdings: Wer Rangnick kennt, weiß, dass er Lösungen findet. Löst er bald alle Probleme bei Hertha BSC?

Getty Images Hours after UFC president Dana White announced heavyweight champion Jon Jones retired from mixed martial arts, the Albuquerque Journal reported Jones faces another legal issue. A criminal summons accuses Jones of leaving the scene of a traffic accident in New Mexico in February, and he faces a misdemeanor charge for the incident. He is scheduled to appear in court July 24 for a bond arraignment.Albuquerque police responded to reports of a crash in February when they approached a woman in the passenger seat of one of the involved cars.
