Nachdem PSG-Trainer Luis Enrique erklärt hatte, der Ball würde wie ein „Kaninchen“ hoppeln, hat sich jetzt auch Vincent Kompany dazu kritisch geäußert.
Die Bayern spielen am letzten Spieltag der Gruppenphase der Klub-WM gegen Benfica Lissabon. Im „Bank of America Stadium“ in Charlotte knallt die Sonne richtig rein, 36 Grad sind angesagt. Bedingungen, die auch schwer für den Rasen sind.
Kompany erklärt vor Anpfiff bei „DAZN“, dass er mit einem völlig anderen Spiel rechnet als gegen Boca Juniors – eben wegen des Rasens.
Kompany: „Der Rasen ist total anders heute. Ich will mich nicht beschweren über den Rasen, aber natürlich wird das alles das Spiel beeinflussen, auch weil es warm ist.“
Und weiter: „Also ich glaube schon, dass es vielleicht nicht 100 Prozent so leicht wird, wie man zu Hause glaubt. Aber trotzdem ändert das unser Ziel nicht. Es ist halt ein bisschen anders als gewohnt, muss ich ehrlich sagen.“

Problem: Aufgrund der Hitze trocknet der Rasen schneller aus. Selbst das Wässern vor dem Spiel bringt da nicht viel. Durch die Hitze verdunstet das Wasser schneller, macht die Bedingungen für die Profis noch unangenehmer.

Übrigens: Wegen der warmen Bedingungen werden die Ersatzspieler die Partie in der (gekühlten) Kabine verfolgen.
Kompany verrät zudem, warum Harry Kane nicht von Beginn an spielt: „Dass Harry heute keine 90 Minuten spielt, ist vernünftig. Das versteht jeder. Und wenn ich entscheiden muss, dann entscheide ich, dass er am Ende reinkommt – lieber als von Anfang an. Weil ich glaube, dass das ein großer Vorteil für uns ist.“
