Mit einem halben Jahr Verspätung dürfte es nun doch zur Trennung kommen!
Liverpool-Star Darwin Núñez (26/Vertrag bis Juni 2028) hat der SSC Neapel „grünes Licht“ für einen Wechsel zum italienischen Meister gegeben. Das berichten Transfer-Experte Fabrizio Romano und die englische Zeitung Mirror übereinstimmend.
Jetzt hängt der Deal davon ab, ob sich die Vereine bezüglich der Ablöse einigen können. Die Reds fordern knapp 60 Mio. Euro für den Stürmer. Laut Romano haben Neapel und Liverpool bereits am Dienstag erste Gespräche geführt.
Für Neapel wäre eine Verpflichtung von Núñez der nächste große Coup, nachdem die Italiener bereits Kevin De Bruyne (33) von Manchester City in die Serie A geholt hatte. Aber: Auch die AC Mailand, Atlético Madrid und Al-Hilal sind an dem Stürmer interessiert.
[–>Bis zum Wechsel von Nationalspieler Florian Wirtz (22/für 140 Mio. Euro aus Leverkusen) war Núñez der Rekord-Transfer von Liverpool. 2022 war der Nationalspieler Uruguays (35 Länderspiele) für 85 Mio. Euro von Benfica Lissabon an die Anfield Road gewechselt, konnte die hohen Erwartungen allerdings nicht erfüllen.
In insgesamt 143 Pflichtspielen bringt es Núñez (Marktwert: 45 Mio. Euro) auf 40 Tore und 26 Vorlagen. Doch unter Trainer Arne Slot (46) spielt der Stürmer nur eine untergeordnete Rolle und wurde in der zurückliegenden Saison mehr und mehr zum Joker degradiert. Und mit der Wirtz-Verpflichtung dürfte seine Einsatzzeit noch weiter sinken.

Schon im vergangenen Winter war Núñez offen für einen Vereinswechsel, doch Liverpool wollte den Stürmer nicht mitten in der Saison abgeben. Das ist jetzt anders.
Und: Die entsprechende Ablösesumme soll direkt in einen Nachfolger investiert werden. Als mögliche Kandidaten sind Alexander Isak (25/Newcastle United), Julián Álvarez (25/Atlético Madrid) und auch der Frankfurter Hugo Ekitiké (23) im Gespräch.
