The Club World Cup is getting more and more exciting and the round of 16 ties are already being decided. Yesterday it was the turn of the locals, Inter Miami, who drew with Palmeiras and achieved the long-awaited qualification. Messi’s team performed well and this caused the joy of many fans, but one in particular, who made a curious request to the Argentine from the stands.

Inter Miami was leading 2-0 against Palmeiras and in a very comfortable way, however, the Brazilians changed their mentality and in the second half they went all out in search of the equalizer and they did it. It was 2-2 and with that everyone was happy, as both teams qualified for the round of 16 and it was all celebration from the stands by the home fans.

It is well known what the figure of Lionel Messi generates in all the places where he plays, but now a more striking situation was experienced than normal, and that is that from the stands of the stadium you could see an elderly person with a banner that had a curious message and did not go unnoticed.

“Messi, would you marry me?” was the message from the woman, who happily posed for the cameras and created one of the funniest moments of the Club World Cup so far.

Inter Miami surprised everyone

Lionel Messi’s team did not have an easy group in the Club World Cup. Porto and Palmeiras were the big threats in Group A and along with them were Inter Miami and Al-Ahly. Despite a shaky start, the Americans recovered and defeated Porto and then, with a draw against Palmeiras, achieved an unprecedented qualification to the last 16.

Messi’s team went from strength to strength in this group stage and got their deserved reward of being able to play in the next phase, something that very few expected.

Messi and an old acquaintance

Already with the qualification to the round of 16 confirmed, Inter Miami will play against an old acquaintance of Lionel Messi. It is PSG, the club where the Argentine played and did not have a good time. Messi was there for two years and did not perform well, so French fans do not remember him with much joy.

The match will be one of the most attractive because of what it means, but Messi and Inter know that facing the current Champions League champions will not be easy, but they will continue to seek to make even more history.
