Dass sich an seiner Situation in der kommenden Saison etwas ändert, ist mehr als fraglich. Zumal sich Torre erst vor Kurzem mit Kritik an Trainer Hansi Flick (60) vermutlich keine Freunde im Klub gemacht hat.

In einem Interview mit der spanischen Zeitung „Sport“ sagte der Mittelfeldspieler: „Ich denke, ich hätte viel mehr Minuten spielen können und denke, ich habe sie mir verdient. Die Konkurrenz war groß und es war schwierig, ins Spiel zu kommen, aber ich denke, dass er auch in dieser Hinsicht nicht fair zu mir war. Das habe ich ihm auch in einem Gespräch gesagt.“
Wie geht’s nun weiter mit Torre? Laut spanischen Medienberichten will ihn Barça in der kommenden Saison verleihen, nach Möglichkeit mit einer Kaufoption. Auch ein direkter Verkauf käme infrage. Bei beiden Varianten will sich Barcelona angeblich eine Rückkauf-Option zusichern lassen. Denn: Die Klub-Verantwortlichen sind sich bewusst, dass Torre eine große Zukunft vor sich haben könnte. Sollte ihm der Durchbruch bei einem anderen Team gelingen, würde Barça ihn zurückholen.

Laut der portugiesischen Sportzeitung „Record“ hat jetzt auch Portugals Rekordmeister Benfica Lissabon ein Auge auf den spanischen U21-Nationalspieler geworfen. Demnach denkt Bayerns Klub-WM-Besieger (1:0) über eine Leihe mit anschließender Kaufoption nach. Ein Angebot von Benfica soll es allerdings noch nicht gegeben haben.
Als weitere Interessenten gelten nach Angaben von spanischen Medien Betis und der FC Sevilla, Mallorca, Real Sociedad, Valencia, Osasuna, Celta Vigo, Lazio Rom und auch Bayer Leverkusen. Der Bundesliga-Klub soll sich Torre als Nachfolger für DFB-Star Florian Wirtz (22) vorstellen können, der zum FC Liverpool gewechselt ist.
