Após acertar a contratação do volante Caíque, ex-Juventude, o Grêmio continua ativo no mercado da bola em busca de novos reforços. O setor ofensivo está entre as prioridades da diretoria. Nesse contexto, o meia-atacante Romarinho, ex-Corinthians, atualmente no Al-Rayyan, do Catar, foi sondado. No entanto, a negociação não deve avançar.
Aos 34 anos, Romarinho está em fim de contrato com o clube catari, o que motivou o Grêmio a realizar uma sondagem para entender as condições de uma possível contratação. Segundo o jornalista Matheus Furtado, o salário do jogador gira em torno de R$ 1 milhão mensais, valor considerado fora da realidade financeira do clube neste momento.
Questão financeira não é o único obstáculo
Embora o alto custo seja um dos principais entraves, não é o único fator que pesa contra a contratação. De acordo com Saimon Bianchini, do portal GZH, o Grêmio chegou a cogitar oferecer um contrato de seis meses, mas acabou descartando a negociação não apenas pelo salário elevado, mas também pelo condicionamento físico e pela idade do atleta.
Um torcedor gremista indicou que concorda com a preocupação quanto à idade de Romarinho e ao longo período em que o jogador esteve fora do futebol brasileiro. Como exemplo, citou o volante Gustavo Cuéllar, que passou anos na Arábia Saudita e, até o momento, ainda não conseguiu se firmar no Tricolor.
Falta de avanço na negociação revolta a torcida
Campeão da Libertadores com o Corinthians em 2012, Romarinho é mais um nome de destaque no cenário nacional que chegou a ser sondado pelo Grêmio, mas não deve vestir a camisa do Imortal. Situação semelhante a de Helinho, ex-Red Bull Bragantino e atualmente no Toluca, do México, que também interessa ao clube, segundo o jornalista Kaliel Dorneles.
A falta de acertos com nomes de maior impacto, especialmente para o setor ofensivo, tem gerado frustração entre os torcedores. Um deles expressou sua insatisfação nas redes sociais, dizendo estar cansado de “sondagens, sondagens e mais sondagens”.
