Der Wechsel von Brentford-Kapitän und Ex-HSV-Spieler Christian Norgaard (31) zum FC Arsenal scheint nur noch Formsache zu sein. Die beiden Klubs haben sich auf eine Ablöse für den dänischen Nationalspieler geeinigt. Das berichtet Sky Sports.
Demnach zahlen die Gunners eine festgeschriebene Summe von 10 Millionen Pfund (circa 12 Millionen Euro). Erfolgsabhängige Boni können die Gesamtablöse auf dann 15 Millionen Pfund (circa 17,5 Millionen Euro) steigern.

Arsenal reagiert mit der Verpflichtung des Brentford-Kapitäns auf den drohenden Abgang von Mittelfeldspieler Thomas Partey. Der Vertrag des zentralen Mittelfeldspielers läuft Ende Juni aus. Arsenal-Trainer Mikel Arteta würde den Ghanaer gerne halten, die Zeichen stehen allerdings auf Abschied.
Mit Nordgaard (Vertrag in Brentford bis 2027) steht ein ähnlicher Spielertyp kurz vorm Transfer zu den Gunners. Der Däne hatte zuletzt signalisiert, zu Arsenal wechseln zu wollen.
